Bend over intermediate kit - harness and dildo set discontinued by Tantus - review by charmedtomeetyou

This set was purchased to satisfy my curiosity. I have other harnesses that I enjoy, I have dildos that are in bright festive colors or textures that appeal to me. But, I wanted to see what Tantus would bring to the table in terms of a harness. Also, although I often tuck a small vibrator between the dildo and myself during pegging, I don't have a harness with a pocket designed to hold a vibrator.

The main use of this harness is to allow people without a penis to perform acts that would usually require one. It can be used with a dildo for penetrative actions, either vaginal or anal. I'd say it's likely used most often for pegging, although it certainly can be used in any capacity you like. It could also come in handy for anyone who wants to put a dildo in it and have their partner simulate a blow job.

I think it's a great beginners harness kit, although labelled intermediate. The smaller of the two dildos included is certainly not outside of the beginners scope. The harness is adjustable to fit a range of sizes, and the price is certainly reasonable.

I have reviews of the dildos up on their own, so this review will focus on the harness itself. You could certainly also use other dildos with this harness, if you prefer something other than the included options.

The harness is comprised of a center panel which has a pocket for the bullet as well as an O-ring to hold a dildo, and straps which wrap around the users waist and around each leg.

The straps are black nylon, and can be a bit stiff. After some use, they did break in a bit and soften, but the edges are rough and can chaff if not adjusted properly. They are wide enough to not twist easily, but thin enough to allow them to sit comfortably where they need to be.

The center panel is made up of a plastic-y velvet fabric and more nylon, along with metal snaps to secure the O-ring.

Is the material expensive and lush? No. It's a pretty basic, reasonably cheap feeling beginner harness. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. It allows for buyers to try something out without a huge investment. But, should you decide harnesses are your thing, you will probably end up upgrading at some point for something more high end.

The design of the harness is similar to any other double strap on the market. The center panel sits nicely, not too high and not too low. There is a waist strap which circles your waist, and two leg straps which circle each thigh. The straps rest right where the top part of your thigh meet your rear end. If you have a more ample backside, it may not sit as comfortably, but I don't think many users will have major issues with that.

You can adjust the straps through the use of plastic buckles. Once tightened, they hold very well until you purposefully loosen them.

This is a basic double strap harness, which will fit a very wide range of users. The product information states that it will fit up to a 60" waist, and sure enough, it measures large enough to do so. The buckles on the straps are plastic, and very adjustable. There is a lot of extra strap if you aren't on the larger end of the spectrum. If you wish, you can trim off some of the excess, but be sure to melt the ends of the straps you cut to prevent fraying.

The O-rings included are 1 1/2 inches, and 2 inches, in diameter. You needed be locked into the dildos that come with this kit. If you have others that will fit into the rings, and have a base that will work with a harness, you can feel free to use them with this harness as well.

When thrusting, the harness pad works well. It doesn't flop or sag, and seems to center the backward pressure in a way that's not uncomfortable. The set comes with a small bullet that sits in a teeny pouch on the center pad of the harness. It takes small watch batteries and goes through them very quickly. The vibrations produced by the bullet are very buzzy and don't transfer very well through the pad. If you have another standard diameter vibrating bullet that you like, you could always replace the bullet. Or, you could do what I do and place your favorite small clitoral vibe between the pad and your body. I like the Mimi by JeJoue for this purpose.

Although this harness is able to be machine washed, I wouldn't recommend doing it often. The faux velvet doesn't seem like it would stand the test of time if heavily machine washed. I choose to hand wash this set as needed. I have soaked this harness panel and left it to air dry several times and it is none the worse for the wear.
