The Perfect Set

The Bend Over Beginner Kit: Intermediate is for people either experimenting with or new to anal or harness play. It works great for couples who enjoy pegging, and people who use harnesses on a regular basis. It includes a comfortable, nylon and faux-fur harness that's easily adjusted, and two medical grade silicone dildos, the Silk medium and Silk large. It's a great, well thought-out set that's perfect for couples.

Use

Tantus's Bend Over Beginner Kit: Intermediate is great for people both new to using strap-on harness and those already experienced. It includes two excellent dildos, a harness, and a little bullet vibe that packs a huge punch. All of the pieces can be used on their own (both the bullet and dildos for solo play, and the harness with other dildos), or with partners for partnered sex. Both dildos can be used anally and fit well in the harness, as they each have large bases.

This set is especially good for people new to pegging and for those who have partners who are new to using strap-ons. The harness is extremely easy to adjust on your own, and the dildos fit into the o-rings quite easily. It's all very simple to figure out, so it's perfect for being that "first harness."

I suggest first putting the desired dildo into the included o-ring and then, afterward, adjusting the harness. Personally, I first adjust it around my hips, then move to the thigh straps and fit those properly and make any necessary further fittings. It's extremely easy, and since the harness can fit a wide range of people, should be comfortable for most body types.

Material

The harness that comes with the set is a washable, nylon harness that's perfect for underwater and regular use. Its front piece is a velvety textured, almost faux-fur-like material, that is smooth against skin and is not irritating. It's actually, surprisingly, very comfortable. The straps are nylon, but don't give a feeling of rug burn like others sometimes do in rough play.

Both the dildos included are made of 100%, medical grade silicone. They're fairly smooshy, but firm enough for penetration and hitting those "special spots," either anally or vaginally. Silicone has no taste or smell, so they should be safe and comfortable for use for any person who enjoys penetration. Use only water-based lubricant with each of these dildos as anything else will muck up the material.

Included in the set is a bullet that's hard plastic, painted silver.

Design / Craftsmanship

This set is comprised of six pieces: Silk medium, Silk large, each dildo's respective o-rings, a vibrating, double-strap harness, and a little bullet. For the price, it's a pretty good deal—you can get a lot of play out of this set, the harness included, and the dildos will last a lifetime because of their superior material.

The harness, being a double-strap design, tightens by backpack-type buckles (or tri-glide slides) on its 1" thick nylon straps. The front piece is rather large, and somewhat stretchy, and it has four snaps that allow you to exchange o-rings for different attachments and dildos. Have a favorite? Get a fitting o-ring and snap it in for use.

Silk medium and Silk large are both non-phallic, smaller-than-average sized dildos. They're good for people new to penetration, both anally and vaginally, and are also good for people who just prefer smaller sized insertables. They have a very clean design, that's very attractive and nice to look at—they're the definition of your "average dildo."

Size / Fit

Silk medium: The dildo is a fairly small dildo with a wide, thick base (2 1/2" diameter). It's easy for sliding into a person's body, and it's also easy to use for solo play; slight warm up with a few fingers is sufficient for the medium Silk. With a diameter of an inch and a length of 4 3/4", it's very easy to use for someone starting out anally or even for someone who is tighter or smaller vaginally.

Silk large: Silk large has a smaller base but is a bigger dildo overall (which actually makes no sense). This makes it more floppy in use, but this can be fixed by tightening the straps on the harness. The diameter of the medium silk is 1 1/2", and it's length is a slightly bigger than average 6 1/2". It's a good size for people that are somewhat experienced, and works well with a good amount of warm-up from either hands or even the Silk medium.

Both the Silk medium and the Silk large are very smoothly shaped, non-phallic at all. They each have a slight curve to them which is good for g- and p-spotting. The Silk large does have a slightly thicker tip, but it's only noticeable upon insertion.

Vibrating harness: I was surprised that it actually fit so comfortably—the front piece was very smooth, and the nylon straps were not itchy or scratchy at all. The sizing was excellent, too. It had the ability of fitting me, with my small size, and the straps could also be adjusted all the way up to a sizing of 60". The harness fit exactly where it should, and the placement of the two Silk dildos was perfect. I imagine that it would be on people of different sizes, as well.

Performance

Putting the harness on and slipping the dildos into their respective o-rings was extremely easy. I kept the harness on for a few moments, adjusting it, and it was surprisingly...extremely comfortable. It wasn't a second skin like my Joque, but it wasn't bulky or ill-fitting like others I have, either. It was very soft against me, and it worked perfectly for sex, no matter the position. It didn't ride up, and I didn't have to adjust it much whatsoever.

I was a bit annoyed after trying to put the bullet on after a few tries. It never worked, unless I screwed the top down so much that I almost hurt my hands attempting. When it did work, it was extremely loud, and the vibrations low and rumbly. I suggest using a different, smaller sized bullet for the bullet pouch in the harness—one that you know works well, and will not fail you. The pouch's positioning, however, was perfectly aligned with where it should be.

The Silk large did bob around a bit when I was standing (due to its thin and small base), but it wasn't such a big deal after tightening the harness up more and actually putting the thing to use. It was very easy to slide in with lubricant, and it was very comfortable.

The other dildo, the Silk medium, was not a problem to use at all because its base is extremely thick and large. It was perfect, no complaints.

Care and Maintenance

All of the pieces of the Bend Over Beginner Kit are very easy to clean. You can machine wash the harness, and the two silicone dildos can be sanitized by either putting on the top rack of your dishwasher, cleaning with a 10% bleach solution, or boiling for about three minutes. You can also use toy cleaner or washing with a mild soap when not sharing.

The dildos and harness can be stored anywhere—in a closet, in a drawer, on a shelf, or in a toy box. I personally keep mine stored on my toy shelf, and the harness is in a box with my other harnesses.

Packaging

The set is packaged in a plastic box with a plastic insert holding all of the pieces. It's actually very attractive, though it's not discreet—the plastic is see-through, and the lettering is mostly silver, black, and pink. It's a lovely color scheme that's pretty and artistic. The box also has a cardboard insert that makes the background appear pink, which is lovely.

There isn't much information, other than Tantus writing of their silicone material and how comfortable their harness is. At least these claims are true! There is no care information, but they direct you to their website to read up on it.

I found the packaging to be bulky, so I recycled it.
