Design/Shape:
The Tsunami is a 100% Platinum silicone dildo manufactured in the U.S. by Tantus. It has just the right curve to fit the human anatomy, making it ideal for vaginal or anal play. The bulbous head provides direct stimulation on the G-spot for women and P-spot for men. Another feature of the Tsunami is the three protruding waves on the inner curve of the shaft, they are designated to arouse the G-spot continuously during thrusting; it is perfect for both advanced and new users to G-spot play. The waves continue around the shaft, gradually ending in three small ripples near the base, providing friction to the lower vaginal wall while the dildo is in motion. The flared base of the Tsunami makes it an ideal toy to be used anally and for harness play. Under the base is a hollow for bullet insertion; to use the dildo as a vibrator, just insert the enclosed Tantus bullet into the opening.

Size:
The entire dildo measures 7 1/4 inches, the insertable portion is 6 1/2 inches. The head’s circumference is 4 inches (diameter 1 1/8 inches), the first wave’s circumference is 4 3/8 inches, the second wave’s circumference is 5 inches, the wave closest to the base’s circumference is 4 7/8 inches. The base designed for harness play is 3/4 inch tall and has a circumference of 9 inches.

Material/Texture:
The Tsunami is made with 100% Platinum Silicone. It is nonporous, waterproof, hypoallergenic, odorless, tasteless, boilable, and phthalate free. Although the dildo arrived odorless, it picked up the floral scent from the antibacterial soap I washed it with. The squishy and flexible dildo is smooth to the touch but has a slight drag to it. Please remember to keep your Tsunami away from toys of the same material; and never apply silicone lubricant on a silicone toy as they can bond and cause damage. Always use water or oil-based lubricant on your silicone toys.

Care/Maintenance:
Cleaning your Tsunami (with bullet removed) is easy as a breeze. You can wash it with antibacterial soap and warm water; sterilize in a pot of rolling boil hot water for three minutes; bleach it in a 10% bleach solution; or place it on the top rack of the dishwasher running the hot cycle. Please air-dry the toy completely, or dry with a lint free synthetic cloth before returning it to your toy box. Silicone material is a lint magnet and collects lint and dust easily, a quick rinse before use will take care of the problem.

The 80mm Tantus bullet is a push button vibrator with a single speed. It is 100% waterproof and requires N type battery. The bullet is 3 1/4 inches long with a diameter of 5/8 inch. A quick tip about the bullet, add a drop of water-based lube on the tip of the bullet before inserting it into the dildo base, it will make life much easier when you remove the little thing later. You can sanitize the waterproof bullet with soap and warm water. If the bullet refuses to turn on during initial use, there might be a piece of cardboard inside your vibrator blocking the circuitry, remove it and the bullet will become functional.

Packaging:
The Tsunami and bullet (battery included) came in a transparent plastic Tantus box, it is not very durable, and may not be the best long term storage solution for the toy. It is best to protect your Tsunami in a zip-lock bag before storing it with your other toys.

My experience:
The plush Tsunami has become my favorite silicone dildo. Since the silicone has a slight drag, I like to add a drop of water-based lubricant on the head before putting it to use. When I rubbed the squishy and bulbous head on my clitoris, the feel is similar to being massaged gently by a thumb. When I pushed the head inside, it immediately found my g-spot and the pressure was exquisite. I continued to slide the dildo into my pussy, to my disappointment I was unable to swallow the entire length of the toy. I suspect my tilted uterus has something to do with it, so my vagina lacks the depth and can only consume up to the second wave of the dildo. Although I was unable to experience the last wave and the small ripples on the back of the Tsunami, I was satisfied with what I have. While I thrust the toy, the angled head and the first wave ripple and roll inside my pussy, the crest of the second wave delivers intense pressure on my swollen clitoris; with these torrents of stimulation happening synchronously, I finally apprehend why Tantus named the toy ‘Tsunami’.
Experience
Does it feel different when my husband used the toy on me? It does, he applied fast and hard strokes and the sensation was more intense, and it did not cause any discomfort because the dildo was made with plush and soft silicone.

Do you want some hands-free fun while giving your partner a great blowjob? I do that by riding the Tsunami in a kneeling position; the good sized base keeps the dildo upright.

You may be wondering why I have not mentioned the word orgasm in my review; the truth is I did not come while playing with the dildo, I was continuously on the verge of climax but I held back, I was having too much fun with this amazing toy. By the time I rode Cowgirl on my husband, my deluge orgasm happened within a minute, not to mention I have never achieved orgasm doing Cowgirl before; kudos to the lasting stimulation using my Tsunami!

How deep can you insert the bullet into the dildo? The bullet can go inside the hollow until there is about 1/2 inch left, with the on/off button exposed. When the bullet is in place, the only way to make the dildo vibrator work is to hold it with your hand; you cannot place the vibrator upright on a surface and use it hands-free, any outside pressure on the unprotected button will turn it off.

The buzzing motion of the bullet vibrator can only be felt at the lower portion of the dildo, where the bullet is located; the upper part of the toy is constructed of solid silicone, so vibration is minimal to nonexistent. I did not insert the bullet vibrator into my toy, the buzzing was too loud and distracting. Instead of providing a nice rumbling sensation like my other vibrator toys, the buzzy Tantus bullet’s vibration numbed my hand while I held the dildo. I am not bothered by this little setback, the performance of the dildo supersedes everything.
Follow-up commentary
I still love my Tsunami, but it is not my favorite dildo anymore. Do not take this the wrong way, it has nothing to do with the lovely Tsunami; I just happened to fall in love with a wooden dildo, and cannot keep my hands off that one!

If you are looking for a silicone dildo with plenty of texture and an outstanding g-spot head, please give Tsunami a try.

I finally read this review. I was always interested in the Tsunami but avoided it because of its advertised size. However, your detailed description was very informative! This dildo is back near the top of my wishlist. ; ) Thank you very much for the detailed review!

By dildo, I mean "vibrator-with-the-bullet-since-I-like-Tantus-toys-more-without-them," of course.
  • Contributor: Rossie
Thank you, N! The bullet is definitely not a necessity here!

I feel that way about most Tantus toys. Honestly, I toss the bullets into a bag I have for freebies to give out to other users and use my Salsa instead whenever I do want the toy to vibrate.

Oh yeah, I have quite a few unused bullets in my nightstand also!
