Tsunami - strap-on g-spot dildo discontinued by Tantus - review by P'Gell

The Tsunami by Tantus, which is named for the intense crashing waves that follow an earthquake is a beautiful textured dildo with a removable Tantus bullet.


The Tsunami can be used as a regular dildo for vaginal use, a probe for anal use, the bullet can be slipped in for vibrations. The toy has a very sturdy base safe for standing upright, attaching to a suction cup or harness use.


This dildo is for those who appreciate a lot of texture in their toys. The bumps and undulations of the Tsunami are quite prominent and can be strongly felt during play. However, they are not sharp and the texture flows while the toy is in use. I would compare the undulations more to the strong waves during a sensual storm at sea, rather than the destructive force of a natural Tsunami.

Thrusting is a new pleasure while using this toy, but even while keeping the toy still, the waves and bumps continue to provide superior stimulation for the entire vagina, including the A Spot, the G Spot and even the clitoris. The bumps are carefully planned and fit my body like a glove.

Those who do not enjoy texture or larger toys may want to start with a smaller, slimmer and untextured toy in Tantus’ line of pleasure objects.

The Tsunami is 7 ¼ inches long, 6 ¾ of that length is insertable. The widest wave is about 5 ¾ inches in circumference. The head is about 4 inches in circumference, and it is slightly girthier than 5 inches near the base. The base itself, which is usable for harness play or makes anal play safe is 9 inches in circumference and ¾ inch in height.


The dildo is firmer than Tantus O2 line and thus is more applicable for G Spot work and easy thrusting. However, lacking an internal structure is not as firm as a vibrator with a battery case inside. Most will have no problem reaching and stimulating the G Spot with the tip.

The body of the dildo is very flexible and can be bent to increase clitoral stimulation during use.


The toy’s materials are completely safe, no pthalates, toxic softeners, latex or other sensitizing ingredients are used in its manufacture.

After one removes the bullet, the toy can be washed in toy wash, hot water and soap. This toy can also be sanitized by boiling or cleaned in a 10% bleach solution and carefully rinsed if one will be sharing the toy with another. The bullet can be cleaned carefully with soap and water or a toy wash or wipe.

As with most 100% silicone toys, this toy is a dust, lint and hair magnet. After washing or sanitizing, drying with a lint free cloth may be best.

The bullet is a standard Tantus bullet, about the size of an RO 60 bullet. It has one speed, which is fairly strong. It can be heard in a room, while encased in the dildo, but most will not be able to hear it through a closed door. The sound should be able to be muted by covers or a pillow. The strength of the bullet is moderately strong for toys in this category.

When using with the bullet, the strongest vibrations can be felt near the base and the bump near the base. The vibrations become weaker as one travels up the shaft to the tip, although they can still be felt, for those who enjoy vibrations using the tip for the G Spot or the A Spot.

The bullet is best inserted into the dildo with a small amount of water based lubricant placed on the tip of the bullet. Removing the bullet after use can be a bit of a challenge, but carefully “wiggling” the bullet out centimeter by centimeter seems to work the best. The bullet can also be used on its own for pin point stimulation wherever one wants it. However, the bullet alone should never be placed in or near the anus, as it is small and it could slip into the anus and be difficult to remove. If anal play is desired, use the entire dildo, with or without the bullet firmly in place at the base of the toy.

One of the finest specialties of this toy, aside from the G Spotting tip are the large bumps near the base. Either of these bumps can be placed on or near the clitoris while the toy is inserted for added clitoral stimulation. In this picture, imagine the left hand as the vagina, encircling the dildo, and the index finger of the right hand as the tip of the clitoris, being stimulated by the toys base bumps.



It was a perfect fit for me.

There are also bumps or “cliffs” on the back of the toy to stimulate the inferior (or “bottom” ) side of the vagina or anus. Most toys do not have stimulation juts in this position and these only increase the pleasure of the toy.


Most silicone toys should be used with only water based lube. However some as this silicone is extremely high quality, if one desires to use a silicone lubricant with the toy, test the lube in an inconspicuous place on the base of the toy. If any damage occurs, discontinue use of this type of lubricant.

The Tsunami arrives in a classic Tantus clear plastic box, with an inner shrink liner, displaying the toy and the bullet from all sides. It is not a discreet presentation, nor is the box good for storage. I suggest wrapping the toy in a men’s handkerchief or large soft cloth napkin and/or storing it in a toy storage bag. It can then be placed into a toy chest or box.

Although the toy could not be said to look discreet itself, it is a good alternative for those who want Tantus quality in a larger toy, but prefer not to use a "realistic" dildo. It has a strong phallic shape, but not the coloring nor details of a real penis. Some users or user's partners may be more comfortable with a less realistic dildo.

I enjoy textured toys and was very excited to have a chance to test this one. Although the texture is heavy and covers nearly the entire toy, none of the bulges or ridges are sharp and, as I said, they flow nicely with use. Although I often prefer larger toys (although this toy is on the large size) this toy is not the largest in my collection. However, the textured body of the Tsunami actually makes the dildo feel larger while using. Many will find that a good water based lubricant is necessary for comfortable insertion.

I thought I wouldn't use the bullet much, but found it provides stimulating vibrations to the clitoris while in use, and can be removed easily if a plain dildo is desired. The Tsunami dildo comes in three different non-realistic colors.

I hate to say whether a toy is for “beginners” or “advanced” players, as everyone’s sexual experience is different. However, this toy is a bit of a challenge due to the texture and the size. It is a challenge that many will take great pleasure in partaking.

Of course, I picked "I still like it." Too bad there isn't a place that says, "I still love it."

This is one of my favorite toys. The texture is perfect, the size is amazing, although not overwhelming, the tip and the "bumps" are perfect for stimulation, especially the G Spot..... I'm repeating myself. The reason is, I have had time to get over that "New toy; this is the best ever!" Honeymoon period with this toy. And I still love it.

My favorite features are the "bumps" on the side of the dildo which can be used for accurate G Spot stim when it is nearly fully inserted. The bumps shown near my thumb in this photo. These feel great while thrusting or grinding or even while twisting the toy slightly while the bump is hitting the G Spot. These bumps are wonderful either while hitting and treating the G Spot, used on the clitoris or frottage play, or for an over all sensory party during thrusting and insertion.

Easy to clean, easy to use (with a little lube if alone) and a bonus of a great little bullet for those who enjoy vibration and you have a nearly perfect dildo. At least for me.
