The 19 from SSA Glass is a double-ended glass dildo. Being solid glass, it can be used for vaginal, anal (carefully), or on the exterior of the body. With the many bumps on the surface, I think this could make a nice, effective massage toy as well, especially if used with a massage oil or candle. This would add temperature play, another nice feature of glass toys. If using this toy for anal play though, be VERY cautious, as there is no flared base and 8 inches of solid glass could be rather painful. Also, because it's very solid and unforgiving, don't thrust too hard vaginally, as this could bruise the cervix.

The SSA's 19 is made of Pyrex glass. Pyrex is a borosilicate glass that is very sturdy and has a high thermal resistance. This toy is solid glass, but weighs less than a pound. It's very hard and has no soft spots. All over the surface are colorful glass bumps that add lots of interesting texture to the toy.

The design of the 19 is very whimsical. With all the colorful bumps, it's reminiscent of a Willy Wonka nerds rope, actually. Luckily, this artsy look makes the 19 rather discreet to those not too familiar with the glass dildo arena. I can't really think of a good excuse for what this toy could be used for, except as a toy Harry Potter wand, but I'm sure there are plenty of options there. The one inch diameter is nice, and even with slightly lubed up hands, the length has so far been enough to have a good grip on the toy while playing. As for travel, it's possible with this toy, but the idea of tossing an eight-inch chunk of glass into a suitcase gets me worried, no matter the padding.

Like all good glass toys, the 19 is awesome for temperature play. With the bumps and cold very cold or warm water nearby, the combo is more sensuous to me than just roughhousing with a toy. Since you don't want to thrust very hard with this toy, sensual play turns this toy into a new accessory for romance. G-spot stimulation isn't easy at all with this. As there are no curves whatsoever, I've found that at just slightly the wrong angle, this toy can feel all kinda of wrong when inserted. The bumps are very interesting to feel if you insert it slowly, though, and as long as the angle is kept just right, it all works out nicely. :)

Care shmare! This puppy can be tossed (very gently, mind you, it's glass) just about anywhere. It ca go in the top rack of the dishwasher, be boiled, bleached, or just washed with soap and water. I usually just go with the soap and water option, because my gold star in sharing from first grade hasn't stuck with me. The 19 is compatible with all kinds of lubes, but I try to just get one hand lubed up, and use my dry hand to hold the base. Also, the 19 comes with a pretty padded purple purse! (Say that 5 fives fast!) So, storage is a cinch!
