The Cyclone Wand, made by SSA Glass, is a double-ended glass dildo meant for solo vaginal play. The two heads of the Cyclone enable users to have variety in the penetration size. The Cyclone should not be used for anal play, because it lacks a flared base, is only 8 inches long, and is extremely slippery when lubricated. However, you can definitely use it with a partner, though as with all glass toys, you and your partner should be careful when thrusting because the firmness of glass can cause you to bruise your cervix.

Glass is great for sensation play by heating or cooling the toy (I'll talk about the proper, safe, way to heat and cool glass later on in the review!) and this toy retains temperature well. This toy doesn't really lend itself for G-spot play but it is incredibly satisfying as a dildo. You can take glass into your shower, hot tub or pool with no fear of damage, and it can be shared between partners safely.

Glass is one of, if not the slickest, smoothest sex toy material that exists. The wand is made of Pyrex glass; Pyrex is made from Borosilicate glass, which has a high thermal resistance. Other uses for Pyrex are cookware and laboratory glassware, making it a great sex toy material. I do not, however, recommend using this to stir your pasta, even though it's Pyrex.

This toy is completely smooth with no bumps on the toy, except for the peaks and valleys of the head and center of the toy.
Glass is odorless and tasteless, so this toy is great for sensitive users who have allergies. Perfect for beginners, intermediates or advanced users looking for something new and interesting, this toy performs well for anyone.

The Cyclone isn't a realistic dildo, it is not overtly phallic shaped but each end of the toy does resemble the head of a penis so if you require something that does not resemble a sex toy, it should be stored when not in use. The smaller head is more penis shaped, with the girthier head being more rounded. The heads of the toy are not pointy, but are more gentle inclines so that they don't feel sharp or uncomfortable once inserted. The toy dips in past the head and flares out again towards the center of the toy.

With a length of 8" in total, this toy cannot be used by a couple unless they are engaging in tribadism (otherwise known as scissoring) while using it or are acrobatically flexible because of the short length, however the long length makes it very filling and satisfying for a solo user. Although it is 8" you can only use about 7" of it, because you need at least an inch to grasp onto the toy.

At its largest point, the center of the toy, it has a diameter of 1 3/8" which makes this toy small enough for penetrative beginners, although the inflexible rigidity of the toy did make the toy feel larger.

As far as aesthetics, this is a beautiful toy; it has DNA-style double helix swirls in the center in gold and blue swirls. There are small air bubbles in the glass, but they are not overt and do not detract from the prettiness of the toy.

The toy works well for thrusting, because the gentle curve leading into the dip and then the flare in the middle provides a really interesting sensation, while also providing a fullness that isn't overwhelming. I found that the rounded end made harder thrusting a little more difficult, but I enjoyed using it for more gentle thrusts. This toy did not do anything for my g-spot, but women who do not need a curve for g-spot play that also like firm pressure will find it enjoyable.

This toy is not harness compatible, but it is vibrator compatible! I rested a vibrator against the base of the toy and the vibrations were transmitted very well through the glass, making this a great toy to use in conjunction with another. The gentle curves of the toy made the vibrations especially delightful, because it wasn't just a straight toy, it had... Movement? Texture? Texture without texture.

Glass is very easy to maintain; it can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and water for daily maintenance, but if you want to sterilize it between lovers you can run it through your dishwasher, use a 10% bleach solution, use isopropyl alcohol or boil it with supervision.

Glass can be warmed and cooled for temperature play. Your glass toys should never be put in the oven, and they should not be left in the freezer for long periods of time. The safest way to heat glass toys is to heat up water and place your glass toy in the water. Place it in the refrigerator until it reaches the desired temperature. Putting glass in the freezer can cause it to become brittle, which means that if you drop it after it's been frozen it is more likely to break--though it has no effect on your use as a toy if it is kept safe. Boiling your toy is also an option, but that will cause the toy to be boiling hot so, again, for safety's sake, let the toy cool before using it to avoid burns on your bits. No matter what temperature you chose, you should always test the toy on the inside of your wrist to make sure that your body can handle the temperature.

Glass is compatible with all lubricants, and does not require a great deal of lubricant to be effective. Glass should be stored in a padded pouch for storage, and should be inspected each and every time before use for cracks and chips; should you find a crack or chip you should not use it. At all. Not even a little.

The toy came in a red velvet pouch, different from the one in the product photo wrapped in bubble wrap. The pouch is adequate for storage, but if you store it with other glass toys where they could clink around, you may want to invest in a more padded pouch or keep it stored in the bubble-wrap. The pouch itself was nice and would be appropriate for gifting, but it does collect lint! The lint is easily removed with a lint-brush, and the bag is so luxurious I can't bear to use anything different!
