The Silk Medium is made of Tantus' wonderful premium silicone. It is bendy and a bit squishy yet not too much so and is wonderfully smooth. It is odorless and tasteless. Being pure silicone, it has a nice and easy glide when in use. Be warned though: if you're looking for texture, this is not the toy for you.

The Silk Medium is not a realistic toy as it lacks a head and is perfectly smooth-shafted. However this does give it an easy to handle shape for a beginner due to the lack of a head. While I have heard that some premium silicone lubes are compatible with Tantus toys, I can't speak to this myself. If you're going to try one, spot-test it somewhere on the base first to make sure it doesn't react. The way I see it is better safe than sorry. So I recommend sticking to water-based.

The packaging for the Silk Medium is relatively basic. It comes in a clear and red rectangular box with a description of the Tantus Premium Silicone on the back and '100% Ultra-Premium Platinum Silicone' on the front. There are no instructions but for a toy like this, they aren't really necessary. It is not discreet and I do not recommend it as a gift box. While it would make a good storage box for irregular use, it is a bit of a hassle if you'll be using it regularly.
