Silk large - strap-on dildo by Tantus - review by married with children

This is best used in the bedroom, by either sex. I feel this is best used vaginally, rather then anally; because of its size. It has a flared base, making its use in a harness a breeze; not to mention making it safe for use in the anus. This does not work well for temperature play though, but it will warm up to body temperature within a few minutes of first use.

This is very travel friendly. It has no metal parts or moving parts. It will travel nicely in a bag without causing any worries about damaging it. You can also use this in the shower, tub, or hot tub. Plus with no moving parts to make any noise, this can be used in places where there is concern with someone else hearing it during use.

This is made from 100% silicone. It is smooth and firm. It is semi-flexible. It wont flop around if you have it in a harness, but you can bend it in half. Silicone is non porous and will not pick up and stains, scents, for flavors from use. Silicone does have some drag to it. So you will need to use lube with it. Just don't use silicone lube, as it could damage your dildo. Use only a water based lube with silicone dildos.

This has no texture to it at all. It is boring and completely smooth. I would say this is more suited to a beginner or one who does not enjoy texture or over stimulation from their dildos.

The design of the large silk is a pretty boring one. There is nothing special about it. I knew that going in on the purchase, but we still chose it because of the diameter listed for it on the product page. Unfortunately, the head on this is much bigger then what is listed. But we will get into that a little further in the review.

This large silk is 7 inches long, ad 6 inches of that 7 are insertable. The base is flared for use in a harness. The shaft has a diameter of 1 1/4 inches. But the head has a diameter of just over 1 1/2 inches. The product page list it at 1 3/8 inches in diameter. So the sizing is way off, either on eden's site, or with Tantus and their manufacturing of the toy.

The size of this large silk is about average with most of the dildos on edens site. It is the perfect size for my wife, and about my size as well; so it fits with what she is used to playing with. But with no textures or other features to add to the basic design of this toy, it is on the boring side.

Like stated above. This is on the boring side of the sex toy scale. It is the right size for the wife, wrong size for me. I really purchased it for my use, based on the information on the product page. That did not work out too well for me. No major loss though, right? Except that my wife finds it too boring and no match for her goodfella, or my goodfella for that matter.

As far as how it worked in the harness, it worked well. You get a little sagging from the weight of it. But not much. But it all depends on the quality of your harness. We have a expensive high quality harness, so it can take the weight of the heavy toys.

Silicone is a very easy material to take care of. There are so many different options for cleaning silicone. You could wash it in warm water with some soap. You could wash it in your dishwasher on the top shelf. You could boil it in some water for a few minutes. You could wipe it down with a bleach solution. You could even use a toy cleaner or IPA. So many different ways to keep this guy clean and ready for his next time at bat.

My wife and I wash our toys in the sink with some warm water and soap. It is very convenient for us, as we have a master bath in the bedroom and can clean our toys right after play time. After we wash it, we dry it with a hand towel. Then put it back into the packaging it came in. Then it is ready for the next time we want to bring him out for some adult fun.

You don't have to store your silk in the package it came in. We just found it easier to keep him in the plastic box, then let him roll around in the drawer or closet.

This comes in a plastic box. The box is much bigger then the toy inside. The large silk sits inside of a plastic clam shell type container, which fits inside of the plastic box. They made sure that no damage could occur to your toy during shipping or storage.

The package is plastered with information. It is in no way discreet, and should not be treated like it is. This has sex toy written all over it, not to mention you can see the dildo sitting inside of the package. Most of the information included on the package is marketing for Tantus, not helpful information about how to care for the toy or how to use it. I don't think anyone buying a sex toy would need to be told how to use it, but some basic information included with it would have been nice.

Like stated above, we kept our package for storage. You don't have to keep it if this option does not work for you. The packaging is 100% recyclable, and can be folded up and hidden inside of other recycling so not to be seen.

Although we did not purchase this for its exciting textures, I wish it had some features to make it more exciting in the bedroom. It is just too boring to get much use from my wife.

Also, keep in mind that the information the the product page is wrong. This is much bigger then what is listed. Don't make the same mistake I made.
