Tentacle jr - dildo discontinued by Whipspider rubberworks - review by Greenleaf

The Whipspider Tentacle Jr. is a long, slender, lightly textured insertable silicone toy. Jr. is suited for both internal (vaginal) and external (clitoral/labia) stimulation, as well as a little bit of teasing on the side. I don't believe that Jr. is particularly safe to use as an anal toy. The base is much too slender and the taper too gentle to prevent Jr from getting "lost" - and that is not a doctor visit that I would want to make. Even though Jr. is fairly long, I don't worry about bumping or bruising my cervix, because the silicone is soft and gentle. The base is rather small, so if you have issues with cramping hands or sore wrists, Jr. may not be a good choice - personally I found the base comfortable, but I have smalli-ish hands. Jr. would be rather difficult to wrangle into a harness (I had no luck getting it into mine), but it sits well in my liberator BonBon - the extra length is handy to keep the toy from squirming around too much.

The Whipspider Tentacle Jr. is made from a stunning blend of soft, flexible colors of silicone. The body of Jr. is actually a swirly blend of metallic blue and purple silicone, while the suckers and tip of Jr. are made from a shimmery pale green silicone that glows in the dark! Jr. is one of the prettiest toys I own, and I definitely have a tendancy to choose toys on their eye-candy factor. The texture of Jr. is very light, only slight dimples along the front of the toy - the "suckers" of the tentacle aesthetic. The rest of the toy is smooth, and the whole thing is seamless, with a very neat trim along the edge of the base, and the usual Whipspider stamp in the bottom of the base.

I really adore the design of the Whipspider Tentacle Jr. The slight s-curve and slender size are really friendly and enjoyable for days where I don't want to feel stressed or rough. Since Jr. is definitely non-realistic and quite artistic, there's no chance of me squicking myself out like there is with hyper-realistic toys. Jr. is just amazing and very visually stimulating. Even when I don't feel the need for penetration, Jr. is still fun! I love the texture of the suckers for clitoral stimulation, and the slick, smooth feel of the rest of the toy is a delightful counterpoint. The length can be challenging since Jr. is fairly long, but since it's mostly uniformly shaped, there's little worry of not being able to hit the right spots because it's too long. The girth is really gentle, with a slight taper making it even more comfortable and easy to take. Though Jr. is absolutely gorgeous... I would not call it discreet. You might be able to pass it off as a bookend or novelty if tucked away on a bookshelf, but stuffed in a suitcase... That might get you a few raised eyebrows, if you are concerned about such things.

The Whipspider Tentacle Jr. is my favorite toy for a quicky or a light/gentle day. I tend to favor thick or heavily textured toys, but sometimes I want a break! The s-curve is one of my favorite things about Jr. I tend to not like extremely curved toys, because they feel like they're jabbing my g-spot uncomfortable, and I can't thrust with them as much as I'd like. The s-curve of Jr. lets me have some flexibility in stimulation without swapping toys, and it's long enough to hit my a-spot as well as a little curved to pleasantly nudge my g-spot. The extra length is also useful for a tall gal like me, so I don't have to curl up as much during use, making it more comfortable for my back and wrist.

The Whipspider Tentacle is made out of 100% silicone, which means that if it's properly cared for, it will last as long as you want it to. To clean Jr., just wash with your favorite gentle soap in warm water, use a sex-toy cleaner, boil it, or run it through the dishwasher on the top rack without detergent. Never, ever use silicone lube with a silicone toy, as it can cause chemicals reactions that will break down your toy. If possible store Jr. wrapped in cloth or a ziplock to prevent it from touching lower-quality toys that might damage it.

The packaging for the Whipspider Tentacle Jr. is very minimalistic. Jr. came wrapped in a simple, clear plastic bag, with a paper insert from the Whipspider company. Though it would not cause any harm to store your tentacle Jr. in it's packaging, it's not very discreet or attractive.
