The BCurious is a higher end clitoral vibrator and is meant for external stimulation only. This small, compact, hand held vibrator is best used by women as the small curved tip is not long enough for insertion into the anus for men. If you're new to vibrators and do not want something overwhelming and that has strong vibration patterns, I highly recommend the BCurious. With eight soft but intense vibration patterns it is sure to bring you to the edge and back again. The soft sounds of the vibrations make this perfect for those who live with a roommate or at home who do not want the vibrations to be heard outside of the bedroom.

The BCurious is made of both plastic and silicone, though plastic is the prevalent material on this vibrator. The white portion that forms the top and bottom halves are made of plastic while there is a pink bit of silicone that separates the halves. The little flap that conceals the charger hole is made of white silicone and fits snuggly in the space to prevent any water from flowing in if used in a tub or pool. The material that makes up the control pad is silicone as well and soft to the touch.

There is no smell associated with this toy upon removal from packaging. The smooth texture of this vibrator leaves the vibrations free to resonate a bit more and provide more stimulation than other toys with more material. The lack of texture is perfect for those starting out as well as those who have been using vibrators and toys for a while.

Small and sleek is the best way to describe the design of the BCurious. The top half of the vibrator have a shape similar to that of a wave. The portion of the vibrator that houses the control pad has a bit of a high bump at the top as well as two ridges along the side designed for your fingers to rest while using this toy. The high bump slopes down and rises again to form the pointed tip of the toy. The slope, which forms a bit of a dip, is designed to nestle the clitoris while the tip slides beneath it to add a bit of extra stimulation. The bottom half of the vibrator is a bit smoother with no waves, though there is a ridge at the base near the control panel designed for fingers to rest as well. The bottom portion flows with the top portion, the tip of it curving up to complete the shape. There is a pink bit of silicone between the two plastic pieces to serve as a buffer (though I'm really not sure it's purpose other than to add color and look pretty).

I personally thought I wasn't going to like this one when it took me almost twenty minutes to get off the first time I used it. I got used to the design, though, and figured out how to make it cup my clitoris and it was history from there. The size is perfect for hiding from sight as well as traveling, so there are no worries about it being too bulky to travel with. Again, this toy is great for anyone starting out or for those who are more experienced toy users.

The BCurious has seven vibration patterns, though the packaging claims to have eight. The vibrations are activated by pressing the on button at the base of the control panel located at the base of the toy. To cycle through the vibration patterns, press the button that looks like a refresh button on a web browser until you have found the vibration pattern that works well for you. The vibration patterns are as follows:

1. Soft, steady vibrations.
2. Medium, steady vibrations.
3. Hard, steady vibrations.
4. Soft-Hard cycle of revving vibrations.
5. Hard, slow pulsing vibrations.
6. Hard, quick pulsing vibrations.
7. Three hard pulses followed with one hard, steady vibration.

The vibrations are located throughout the entire toy, so you will definitely feel them when you're holding the toy to use it. If you don't like the buzzy feeling on your fingers when you play, I wouldn't recommend this vibrator to you. My fingers feel a little numb and tingly (like they do now) after playing with the vibration patterns even for a short amount of time. I will say, though, that the vibrations are great, though they do feel harder in your hands than they do on the clitoris. The controls for the vibrations are easy to use and figure out, so it's not overly complicated and won't irritate you like some toys tend to do.

Another beautiful thing about the BCurious is that it is rechargeable and the battery power on this thing lasts a long while. I charged mine three weeks ago when I received it for review and the vibrations are still as strong as when I took it off the charger...and I've used it quite a few times since then. The vibrations are not very loud, especially under bed sheets, so there is no worry that someone in the next room will hear you if you're not careful.

To care for the BCurious once you've enjoyed it, wash it with warm water and some antibacterial soap. If you want to sterilize this toy, use a bleach solution to make sure to definitely get rid of any lingering germs that may be on it. To store, simply place in your bedside table drawer or wherever you store your smaller items in your room as it will fit with easy. If you decide to use lubricant with this product, use only water based as the silicone buffer between the top and bottom halves could be destroyed if silicone based lubricant is used.
