Brrrr but no Buzzzz

Cute and great for couples during foreplay, but it lacks the punch needed to push someone over the edge. The bullet is hardly felt through the ice and is difficult to remove.

Use

A temperature play toy for fans or newbies alike, the Touché is great for teasing and stimulating all over the body. It would be best used with a partner during foreplay, on the neck, nipples, stomach, and genitals. However, the vibration features are unremarkable and won't be enough to get you off.

Material / Texture

The base is made of silicone. A protruding section with four holes holds onto the ice. The narrower silicone part that connects the protrusion to the base allows for a little flexibility once you have the ice attached. The two seams on the base are visible. The decorative grooves could be a problem during cleaning, but I doubt many people will be inserting that end. The base is odorless and easy to hold.

Design / Shape / Size

The Touché is about 3.5" inches from end to end when ice is adhered to it. It fits neatly in your hand and is easy to maneuver. A frosty/opaque base made of super flexible silicone is included for freezing the water, and can easily be peeled off once the toy is ready. The ice that forms is very smooth. I thought the appearance of the toy was very cute. It’s discreet and is almost always in my freezer!

The bullet is inserted into the top of the toy and is somewhat difficult to remove. The instructions tell you to do so by pushing up on the lower protruding bit of the toy once the ice has melted, but it was too difficult and I had to use a spoon to remove it instead. This was not a big deal to me but it could be annoying if you want to use the bullet in a different toy - or on its own - before all of the ice has melted. There is no bullet key, although there is one included with the smaller more expensive model.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The bullet included with the toy is operated by a single push-button on top. Watch batteries are included in it but there is a small paper insert in the bullet that you must remove before use. The bullet features three steady vibration settings in low, medium, high (1, 2, 3), a huge vibration that slowly dies down to nothing and repeats (4), a rapid pulse (5), a rapid pulse with pauses (6), and a wacky setting that includes all of the above (7.) Before turning off, however, the bullet goes through the initial settings again, so the cycle is like this: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 3, 2, 1. It is not very noisy, but is audible under covers on more intense settings. The bullet itself was not weak, but when used with the toy in the intended manner, it could barely be felt.

The instructions say the toy and water need only 4 hours in the freezer, but I have always left mine overnight so I can’t attest to the accuracy of that claim. The ice adhered to the toy perfectly every time I used it; I have not had a problem with it gapping or separating. The bullet in my Touché still works great, but replacing the watch batteries is going to be very annoying when the time comes.

Care and Maintenance

This toy can be washed with soap and water or toy cleaner, although you should wait for all of the ice to melt off before cleaning. Make sure to remove the bullet and wipe it down separately, and to clean the holes in the lower silicone part.
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The box is 6.5” x 7” x 2.5”, which I thought was a bit big considering the size of the toy. A panel cut in the front of the white box displays the toy, and there is a decorative splash of water to the side. A brief description is printed on the box in English, Spanish, French, Dutch, and Russian. Opening a magnetic flap on the back reveals a window to the toy and the same description in German and Italian. The instruction pamphlet is printed in all the same languages except Italian, for some reason.

The box has a removable plastic insert made of two pieces that snap shut and may be suitable enough for storage, but I keep my Touché stored in the freezer since it is so discreet.

The cute visual instructions below are shown on the lower back of the box and are also included in the instruction pamphlet inside. The pictures show how to use the bullet key for the smaller model as well.

Experience

The vibrations do not travel to the ice well at all. The highest steady setting (3) felt nice through the ice but the others were essentially useless to me. When I used this with my partner, the ice melted entirely after about 20 minutes, but that was long enough to enjoy it. The sensation of him alternating between using his tongue and the ice was amazing. It also felt nice to hold the toy horizontally and roll it across my labia so there was a neat compromise of cold and vibration.

When I used it solo, I alternated between using the ice and the end of the bullet on my clit. After a lot of difficultly and using only the highest steady vibration speed, I was able to orgasm. However, the grooves on the base sometimes scraped unpleasantly against me when using the bullet end. I believe this toy is much better suited to foreplay with couples. It’s great with a blindfold!

I gave this product three out of five stars because it has made temperature play a more frequent occurrence in our bedroom due to its ease of use. If you are excited about the ice part of this concept and not necessarily the vibrations, you should be pleased.
Follow-up commentary
Over time, my partner and I found it easier/more spontaneous to just use an ice cube instead of this thing, since the vibrations were so useless to me. The grip on the egg would still be really convenient, but it's not quite worth pulling it out of storage now.
