Butterfly kiss - g-spot rabbit vibrator discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by xxombie

I bought the Butterfly Kiss G-spot Vibe for two reasons. I was looking for an inexpensive g-spot vibrator, and I thought that this might fit the bill because of the slight curve of the insertable part. I have used this vibe in two ways. First, in its intended sense, by inserting it vaginally and letting the "butterfly" oh so gently tickle my clitoris. I have also used it solely for the butterfly/clitoral stimulation without vaginal insertion. Personally, I found that it lacked a lot for vaginal use, and it was in the league of mediocre in terms of clitoral stimulation. This might be a better toy for beginners, or for people who are looking for some light teasing before moving onto something more arousing and intense. Although I did not use it this way, it might be useful as an anal toy, but you should definitely use a condom due to the TPR material. Also, have a partner help you if you use it anally.

This toy is made of TPR plastic. This was my first and last toy made of this material, and here's why. TPR is very porous and attracts dust, dirt, lint and you name it, like no other. I do take care to clean all of my toys, but it seems that with this toy and this type of material you have to take several extra steps to ensure cleanliness, both before and after use. If you are looking for an easy to care for toy, keep walking. The Butterfly Kiss did not seem to have an apparent smell to me, which was a plus because that will put me off of a toy immediately.

When I ordered this toy, I was really excited to try it out. What I initially liked about this toy was the slight curve, the butterfly for clitoral stimulation, the raised hearts at the base, and the bulbous head. When looking at this toy, all those features seem right, but the concept was lost on the design. I found the shaft to be too slender for my liking; it's only 1 1/8. So, if you need more girth, I definitely do not recommend this toy. The butterfly itself did help me reach climax, but it took a little more pressure and angling to use it without inserting. The hearts did nothing for me, since they are so low on the base. This toy only offers 3 1/2 inches of insertable length. I found that the bulbous head was only really useful when placed just inside the vagina; it lacked definable pressure when inserted completely. It is most definitely a cute toy, but cute doesn't get me off.

This G-spot vibe offers 3 vibration settings, all simple buzzes. This single button also takes you back to the off position. So, if you want a different speed, the toy has to be turned off to get back to the one you want. The control button for the vibe settings is on the bottom of the base. With the button in this position, I found it hard to use solo. I also didn't think there was a huge difference in intensity from the different settings. With a smaller shaft, it was generally harder to feel any vibrating sensations internally anyhow. I also found that it was difficult to get the head to stay in a position to reach and stimulate the g-spot because this toy is very flexible.

This toy takes 2 AAA batteries. It didn't seem to go through the charge quickly, but I only used it a handful of times. So, it's hard to comment on long term battery usage.

Since this toy is made of TPR material, it needs a little extra care in the cleaning department, as I mentioned earlier. It's best if a condom or toy cover is used to reduce the amount of bacteria spread to the toy, but it was awkward to put a condom over the bulbous head since it so much larger than the shaft. It is recommended that you clean this toy with warm water and a mild soap. You could also use a toy cleaner. Do not boil TPR material toys. I would wash this toy before and after use, since it tends to call dirt and debris to it magically. After the gentle wash, I would pat it dry with a shammy-like towel, or a microfiber towel to reduce the amount of lint transferred to the toy. Otherwise, you might wash, dry and repeat all night without even getting to play. I would store this toy somewhere all on its own to avoid further dirt/lint contamination. The TPR material is slightly sticky, even when dry, so be mindful of this for storage.
As for lubricants, you can use silicone or water based lubes. If you also use a condom or toy cover, make sure they adhere to these lube rules as well.
