Slim smooth delight - traditional vibrator by Doc Johnson - review by Waterfall

The Slim Smooth Delight is a thin, multiple speed/pattern vibrator. It is a good size for beginners to insertable toys and the material gives it a nice glide. This one is not waterproof at all, so it is not a good choice for those looking for something for the shower or tub. The Slim works as an external or internal vibe, but it is not the best idea for anal insertion because it does not have a flared base.

The Slim Smooth Delight is made of smooth plastic. This material rates an 8 on Eden's safety scale. It has no phthalates and is non-porous. I did not notice a smell when I took it out to use for the first time and I assume that there really isn't a taste either.

Plastic is rigid, so there is no flex or give. Due to the size of this vibe, this is not a big problem, just keep that in mind if you prefer softer toys.

The smoothness makes this vibe good for sliding along the clitoris, nipples, or any other area. It also makes it easy to insert with just a tiny bit of lube (sometimes I don't need to use any). I think this toy would make a good introduction to insertable toys because it is nice and smooth.

When looking at the Slim Smooth Delight, I am not sure what to compare the shape to. It kind of looks like one of those giant pens that come with kids toys for writing on a screen of some kind. This is the best I can come up with, most people might agree if they take a close look at it. This makes it somewhat discreet because people may not know exactly what it is at first sight. Other than the strange tip, this one has a long, straight shaft like most traditional vibrators.

The smaller portion at the top is a little less than 2 inches long, which leaves about 4.5 inches for the rest of the shaft. It is 5.5 inches insertable (total), leaving the grip at the base that has the button to control the vibrations. In regards to the girth, it is a good size for those new to insertable toys because at the largest part it is only 1 1/8 inches in diameter (this means the point at the top is less than an inch in diameter).

It is small enough to fit in a purse or a travel bag, which means you can bring it places and hide it easily.

When I first got this vibe I was expecting it to have one speed. I was surprised to find that if I continued to push the button on the bottom I got 3 speeds of continuous vibrations AND patterns. To control the speeds and patterns, simply keep pushing the button. The main issue I have with this is that I have to go through everything if I want to get back to the speed or pattern I like best.
The functions of this one are as follows:

2. Medium steady vibration
3. High steady vibration
4. Escalating/Roller Coaster
5. Fast pulsating
6. One long pulse followed by 4 short pulses
7. A steady vibration that feels stronger than the high
It takes 2 AAA batteries, and with my use they seem to last a decent amount of time (however I make sure to take them out between uses). This toy is loud, especially for its size. I wouldn't recommend it to those who have roommates or need to be discreet when using a toy. The vibrations are really buzzy and don't do much for me because I can just feel them on the surface. I find that when I use a toy internally that has buzzy/surface level vibrations it doesn't stimulate me the way I need it to.

Soap and water or toy cleaner are your best bet when cleaning this toy. This toy is not waterproof, so when you clean it be sure to keep the battery compartment from getting water in it.

Because it is plastic, it can be used with water and silicone lubes.

I just keep this one in a box with some of my other toys. It only came packaged in bubble wrap, no box, so I really had no other option for storage. Because there are not issues with the material it is really easy to store this one anywhere.

The combination of the shape and the buzzy vibrations made the Smooth Slim Delight a toy that I stopped using after I few times. It just doesn't work that well for me. It is "ok" for warm up, but I have other toys that are stronger and feel better. Although I didn't like this one very much in general, my favorite way to use it was for external anal use. It was nice because I am pretty sensitive in this area.

This would be a vibe for someone who wants to test the waters and doesn't want to spend a lot. It wasn't up to my standards, but I have become pretty picky since I first started reviewing toys. I guess this one was just too plain.
