Insignia Tiani 2 - g-spot vibrator by LELO - review by Hummingbird

While this vibrator works great solo both with and without the remote it is a great novice solo and first couples toy. I say this because it’s small, non intimidating and it puts your partner in the drivers seat in control of your thrills. Not only will your partner get great excitement moving the remote about teasing and tantalizing you but it works really great during intercourse giving you and your partner thrills.

It was the very first toy my husband and I used together and while I’m quite a bit braver in trying new sensations, he was a bit hesitant at first. One look at the Insignia Tiani 2 though and its small non-threatening shape and he couldn’t help but want to try it. Besides, he’s the driver in the family, the remote just gave him another way to drive.

Even though this toy is made of silicone I would not advise sharing it even with the use of a condom because it cannot be sterilized.

I found the texture of the remote similar to that of the flat side of a thick rubber band and odor free. The tail attachments though and motor end of the vibrator itself are silky sooth.

Use only water based lubricants with the Tiani 2 because it is made of Silicone.

I use a Personal Moisturizer, my favorites are Lelo & Satin by Sliquid. Not much lubricant is needed for insertion as the attachment is thin enough. I use just a drop on the tail and another drop on the vibrator end itself where it rests smoothly against my clit.

I have to assign tags of both Flexible and Rigid, the tail extensions being flexible while the remote and vibrator itself are rigid.

The shape provided little thought on how it was to be used even without directions. Ergonomically shaped it was perfectly designed to touch two very erogenous zones of the body at the same time without being held in place with your hand. Well, laying down that is on ones back or propped up a pillow such as the Mini Column. We tried it with me on top and it just didn't hold tight, I wouldn't call that a con at all, just the way it is. Besides what do you know that will stay inside when you're all wet with anticipation?

The length of the vibrator with a tail attachment is 3 1/4” long, yes that’s 3 1/4” long on each end to the middle where connected. That would make a total of 6 1/2” long if it were stretched out to its total length but this is not advisable since it would affect the natural egonomic bend of the silicone. The vibrator itself which rests on the clitoris is 1” at its widest point tapering gradually to each end.

The remote is 2 1/4” in diameter, approximately the size of the opening of a tall 12 oz water glass. The buttons are easily marked by ridges and indentations to be able to clearly tell by feel what each one is. Not only that but the remote silicone surface is divided in half. The shallow half with the controls, the raised half smooth unmarked surface.

If you’ve read any of my other reviews on vibrating toys you’ll know that I hate working to get an O. This little number packs a big punch and on my very first time with it! All I can say is Oh WOW! No work at all, I just laid back and let it happen, of course feeling very amorous at the time helps.

The versatile nature of this toy especially having two tail attachments gives it the ability to be used anywhere on the body. Having two tail attachments is a plus, one can be designated for vaginal and the other for anal entrance. I’ve tried both ways and do have them designated just that way. The shape of each tail extension clearly identifies to me which one I use for what and because of the U-shape there's no worry it will slip within you.

The best thing about it is that its rechargeable, yeah, no spending additional hard earned bucks on batteries.
Charged with an A/C Wall outlet charger which is enclosed in the box, it attaches to the vibrator alone, without a tail attachment. It would have been nice if this was USB compatible to charge with a computer but perhaps on the next model. Instead it has a DC charging port connected by wire to an AC charger converter.

The hand remote takes two AAA batteries that are provided in the box, in this case “batteries are included!” Wow what a concept! Other toy manufacturers should take the hint.

Recommended time in the LELO provided manual a minimum 2 hours charge is advised before first time use. Though since I use it all the time, I just replug it back in immediately after use and cleaning. I can’t honestly say how long the charge will last because I just don’t want to take the chance of missing my O. I have used it up to 3 days in succession without charging but I’ve been burnt before with other toys by having a toy give out right before the big O so leave it charging all the time.

The really great benefit for this vibrator is the fact it can be used both with the remote and without. Those of you that don’t like hearing the vibration noise of the remote which isn't too loud but can still be heard through a door will be just as happy to get good vibrations without it. But the remote vibrates too so you won't want to easily dismiss it either since it will tantalize both male and female erotic zones.

Both the remote and separate vibrating motor have their own separate controls for vibration selection. The vibrating motor is used individually by not enabling the remote.

The vibrator that works solo has one multi-function button which is easily found on it near the gold band on the external side of it. Okay, think of a U, if you were to position the U so one side was inserted vaginally, the button would be on the external side of the U facing up. The single button on this vibrator is covered by silicone and marked with embossed curves, kind of like speaker sound waves making it easy to find without looking. A steady firm press and its on, successive individual quick presses changes to one of 6 different type of vibration intensities/patterns. When used alone without the remote, this little charm could be easily worn in public, though I would advise with very snug panties.

I find the remote easier to use than the single button on the vibrator itself since it is easily held in the palm of my hand and has 3 buttons to control instead of just one. Neither the controls on the remote or the vibrator itself change easily at the brush of a finger or hand. A definite push with my finger or nail is required to changed the current setting.

The Remote has three buttons on it plus is motion sensitive for rhythm variations. The buttons include, increase intensity, change pattern & decrease intensity. The remote also has 6 various patterns to choose from. It is also the noisiest part, probably because of the silver plastic battery cover and there is sometimes a delay in signal between it and the personal vibrator.

The best thing about all these buttons for the settings on either device, LELO documents them VERY well in the enclosed 3 1/2” x 3” multi language manual. I originally had gone to the LELO website for the instructions but they were indeed provided with the toy inside the box.

Made out of Silicone it is gives it a material safety rating of 10.

Silicone has a tight molecular structure and retains heat. Try to soak silicone toy (make sure it's waterproof) in the warm water before using it to get nice warm feeling. Silicone also repels dirt and bacteria and doesn't fall apart with extended friction.

Wanting to test the waterproof functionality, I set my Tiani 2 in a bathroom sink full of hot tap water with antibacterial soap. Of course I had one of the tail extensions attached to the motor end to protect the connection. Okay, so I state the obvious but I don’t like to leave things to chance. Anyway, after a 1/2 hour in the sink and rinsing completely then air drying it I found it works just great!

Hygiene And Maintenance
Silicone is smooth and not porous. Silicone can be fully disinfected by boiling it for 3 minutes or by throwing it into the top rack of your dishwasher.

My addition regarding Maintenance: Because the vibrator and tail extension are joined by a gold band, it would not be advisable to boil or clean in dishwasher. I use instead the EF cleaning wipes and LELO Antibacterial Cleaning Spray.

Sturdy dark grey/black box with lift off lid, dimensions: 10 1/2” Long x 4 1/4” Wide x 2 1/8” deep. There is no pictures or directions on the box at all, just the elegant looking dark grey/black color. Embossed on the top cover in light silver print is L E L O, that’s it, so it is totally discreet.

Two thirds of the inside box contains a foam insert with carve-out’s for the remote and the vibrator with one tail attachment and a plastic gold LELO infinity pin. The other side is a box like area containing the other tail attachment and A/C plug.

And, silly me just seeing the obvious on top didn’t angle the box to see the remainder contents under the foam insert that are accessible through the small box inside.
Additional box contents were:
- Nylon storage bag
- 1 Packet of Lelo Personal Moisturizer
- A very comprehensive multi language manual
- Plastic key to take the remote cover to insert the batteries
- 2 AAA batteries shrink wrapped

Lelo thought of it all when putting this package together!

One additional thought on the storage bag though, since each of the four pieces are made of silicone, it would have been helpful to provide a bag with compartments, separating each piece. This would have been especially good if one tail is used vaginally and the other anally.

I could write all day about the LELO Insignia Tiani 2, when you really believe and trust in a product as I do this one there is just never enough to say about it. The simplicity, versatility, every where friendly aspects of the Tiani 2 is for me a must have.

We like to travel quite often, even just to get away for the weekend, this is the first thing I pack and the first toy we use that night. It gives him control and me, well just like I rest while he drives the car, I just lay back and let him have fun pleasing me!

I have the Black Colored one even though I'm into lavender colored toys but it is also sold Pink and Rose making it appealing for all. This time I thought I would try a more "serious" color, it makes no difference I've found, it's still wonderful!

The learning curve isn’t difficult at all to get used to, although if your unobservant like me and don’t check for the manual in the box, you will need to go to the LELO website in order to use the remote to its full potential.

The little LELO infinity pin is pretty neat too! It's my little secret reminding me of last night's or this morning's pleasure seeing it decoratively attached to my purse. Sometimes I catch myself smiling when I see it especially when having a stressful day, it always brings back pleasurable memories.

There are those times I like solo play often combining it with other toys like my glass eggs. Thinking back now, my first O with this was quite intense, more so than my usual clit one, that might have even been my first G-spot hit. Perhaps that's why it's my favorite especially after coming home from work after a late night shift, talk about relaxing!

I like the fact that it's reliable and easy to keep handy right on top of by nightstand in one of those beautiful jewel covered, cloth lined gift boxes you can purchase at any store, sorry EF. It's really handy to grab at any moment and I feel comforted that an O is only ever moments away, especially when first trying unsuccessfully with a new toy.

It's only us two in the house so I don't need to keep my toys under lock and key, if someone goes in my bedroom and looks, well lets say I hope they have fun too!
