Wii-Mote For My Hoo-ha 2!

The Tiani 2 is a wireless, remote control vibrator that stimulates both the vagina and the clitoris. It does work, but there's a chance your remote may have some lag. If you're okay with that, than this is for you. In my experience, the Lyla 2 performs better.

Use

The Insignia series by LELO is like playing adult Wii Sports, and who doesn't like games? The Tiani is and insertable vibrator that has an attachment to stimulate the clitoris. It also comes with a remote, which can make for some devious couples play. Have one partner insert the vibrator and give the remote to the other one. Then be at the mercy of the controls.

The Tiani 2 is an upgraded version of Tiani 1 boasting better strength, range, and functions. The vibrator can be used independently or with the remote. The remote also vibrates in synch with the vibrator, both giving the remote holder feedback and allow the remote to be used to tease the erogenous zones. The Tiani is best designed for vaginal use. Technically is may be able to be used anally since it has the curving attachment, but it is not designed (shape-wise, or in general) to work with the anatomy in this way.

The vibrator is more discreet than the remote. I still consider the Tiani dorm friendly so long as you have some background noise and conceal the remote in you pocket to kill some of the noise. It is also waterproof, so you can take your fun to the shower. Since the vibrator is not large or intimidating, the Tiani is friendly to beginners and all levels of experience.

Material / Texture

The Tiani 2 is made of luscious LELO silicone. It is up there with the infamous Je Joue silicone (who are responsible for the sexy MiMi). The silicone is silky smooth. Silicone rates a 10 out of 10 on the materials safety scale. It is non porous, so bacteria cannot thrive inside the toy. It is also hypoallergenic and made of food grade materials.

The silver parts of Tiani seem to be made of plastic. The remote's top is made of silicone and the back is made of plastic. The head of the vibrator is firm, but you can feel a bit of the silicone coating if you press on it. The clitoral attachments are more flexible. Always be careful not to over-extend the attachments.

There is no overt taste or smell to Tiani.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

Tiani is shaped like a thin or flattened "C." It is 3.25 inches long (both sides, since it's folded on half). It also has an insertable length of 3.25 inches. The diameter is also very beginner friendly at 1 inch. While Tiani isn't large in any dimension, its power and functions make it appeal to other users as well.

You have two clitoral attachments to choose from. Tiani comes attached to the more rounded end, but it is easy to switch them by twisting the attachment off.

In terms of discretion, it ranges. When the vibrator is inserted, it is about 2 bees. If you are in a quiet room, you'll probably be heard if you're standing next to someone. If there's some noise going on, like a TV or fan, you shouldn't be heard as long as you're a short distance away. The remote is loud coming in a 3 bees when on a high setting. If you hold the remote, it lessens the sound a bit, but you will be heard in an open, quiet room. If behind a closed door and a blanket or two, you may be able to muffle the remote.

You can use Tiani publicly if you are going to a loud location like a club or bar, which can make for zesty public play.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Tiani has some interesting, fun, sophisticated controls. The remote and vibrator can turn on separately. If you want to use the vibrator alone, just hold the one button that looks like little waves (it's the only one on the vibrator). The vibrator has 6 settings. They cannot be adjusted for intensity. In fact, the settings are each on their highest intensity automatically. They are as follows:

1. Standard Vibration
2. Pulses
3. Faster Pulses
4. Accelerates, Repeats
5. Accelerates then Decelerates
6. Accelerating and Decelerating Pulses

The vibrations are more rumbly than buzzy. They are also quite strong, clocking in at 4 Vrooms. This should be enough to satisfy the majority of users, but power queens may not think this is enough. There are two attachments to choose from. One is thinner and more rounder and the other is more squared off and takes a larger surface area. Choose which one works best for you. The broader one may ensure your clitoris is stimulated more.

The Remote and Vibrator

The buttons for the remote are easy to use. It is great that LELO allows such fun and sophisticated controls with an easy yo use interface. There are three buttons: a plus, a minus, and a button that has two arrows that means "switch" in the middle. The remote will also work by itself if you don't synch it with the vibrator. You can use the remote to externally stimulate erogenous zones. To synch the remote with the vibrator, turn the remote on by holding the + button, and then hold the only button on the vibrator. It might take 5 or so seconds, but the two will eventually synch up.

Sexy Wii-Mote

What makes the Insignia collection unique is that is has 2 SenseMotion modes. With these modes, the power and pattern are determined by how the remote is manipulated. This makes using Tiani even more interactive (and diabolical) for couple's play. The first mode on the Remote is SenseMotion Mode 1. SenseMotion 1 changes in intensity depending on how you rotate the remote. Leaving it flat makes vibrates the vibrator at 10 percent strength. Moving it to the vertical will increase its intensity to 100 percent.

The second SenseMotion mode gets some shaking involved. Hold the remote so that it is vertical and shake it. The more vigorously you shake it, the more intense the vibrations will be. The vibrations can feel like pulses or a rollar coaster depending on how quickly and hard you shake the remote. Within these two modes are ways to create your own mode on Tiani, so to speak (These are our personal favorites).

The Modes for the remote are SenseMotion 1, SenseMotion 2, and then the 6 modes previously mentioned that the vibrator has, which makes 8 modes in total. Each mode can be adjusted for intensity by either holding the plus for a stronger vibe and the minus for a weaker one. Holding the minus button long enough will turn the toys off. The vibrator tends to lag the most when getting turned off, but it isn't that bothersome.

Tiani is waterproof so long as the ends are secured tightly and attached. The vibrator can safely be submerged when the end is screwed on tightly. The remote is marked as waterproof, but I would refrain from submerging it. It is definitely splash=proof (I'm paranoid and want to preserve my toys, especially more costly ones).

Care and Maintenance

The vibrator is rechargeable. Just twist the attachment off to access the charging port. Do note that you don't have to plug the charging port in all the way in Tiani. It only goes in about half way, so don't force it. It take a couple of hours to fully charge Tiani. When fully charged, she offers about 2 hours of play. The remote runs on 2 AAA batteries. To remove the back of the remote, use the black turning key in the silver indent and turn. You can also use both of your thumbs to press down and turn.

Care for the Tiani is pretty easy. It can be washed with soap and water, toy wipes, or toy cleaner. Make sure the attachment is fastened tightly is cleaning with water. Once dry, you can store Tiani in its pouch or box. Lint collection is quite minimal, considering it is silicone and black. Do no use silicone based lubricants with the Tiani.

Packaging

LELO packaging for their luxury toys are always lovely. The first layer of packaging is a glossy, card-stock cover that showcases the toy. It is tastefully done (no naked people), but since the toy is featured on it, it is not discreet. When you remove this layer, the signature black LELO box is next. It is discreet so long as whoever sees the box doesn't know what LELO makes.

Lift the lid of the box to reveal the vibrator, the additional attachment, the remote, 2 AAA batteries by Energizer, a black pouch, instructions, and a packet of lubricant. The instructions cover information on all the toys in the Insignia series, so if you own more than one Insignia product you'll only need one booklet. The instructions are thorough and informative. The packaging is perfect for gift giving. Still, if you are dead set on gifting an Insignia item, I recommend Lyla over Tiani.

Experience

After our immense success with the Lyla 2, we were aching to try the Tiani 2. I was looking forward to having both internal and external stimulation. However, we were not as pleased with this one. Once we charged it, we synched the remote and vibrator. When we turned it on, my partner started to play with the controls. There was a 5 second or greater lag when he switched between modes. This displeased us because the remote vibrates as feedback and because of the lag my partner didn't know how the vibrator was responding.

It also removes some control from the person who holds the remote. Because my partner can't create the responses he wants (due to lag), it displeased him. I tried to move closer to him. When standing about 2 feet away, Tiani worked a bit better. However, my partner frowned and ordered me to put the Lyla back on. The Lyla works perfectly for us.

The only good news is that Tiani works better on occasion. We tried a second time and the lag was about 2 seconds or less. So, Tiani can work, but I find Lyla more consistent.
