These California Exotics First Time Love Balls are beginner-size kegel exercise balls. Their small size and light weight would make them perfect for a beginner, or for someone whose vagina is already rather slender and who needs a smaller diameter ball to squeeze.

The balls are PU coated plastic which has a silicone feel (without the silicone cost). This is similar to a "velvet cote" texture, which is very silky-smooth to the touch. The balls themselves are firm. The cord is TPE. TPE is semi-porous, and therefore not sterilizable, so don't share this toy.

The First Time Love Beads Duo Lover is a set of two weighted balls attached to a cord about 2" apart. Each ball is about the size of a large pink gumball (1 1/4" diameter). There is a very noticeable seam in the center of each ball, and although it's not very noticeable to the touch, it does indeed create a crevice to hold fluids, germs, etc.

The 8.5" TPE cord is about 1/8" thick, clear, and pink as well. The 3" retrieval loop is two-finger size (about 1.5") and is just a loop attached back to the main cord, with a rather stiff and sharp-edged piece of clear plastic.

The weighted ball inside of the visible ball allows for a slight rumbling rattle with movement. In theory, this rumble serves as a reminder to squeeze, squeeze, squeeze those kegels. In reality, this may be more or less effective, depending on your kegel ball experience. At only a couple of ounces, these are very light weight, and in that way, great for beginners. As mentioned earlier, the small size, however, may be great for someone who has a very toned vagina. If you're looking for heavyweight exercise balls, though, these are not for you.

TPE is not sterilizable by boiling, nor is the PU-coated plastic, so plan on cleaning these balls up with warm water and antibacterial soap or a specialized sex toy cleaner. Due to the small crevices and seams at attachment areas, you may want to use both.

The good news is that this toy is safe to use with silicone or water-based lubes.
