Body and Soul devotion - traditional vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by Mika

This is a straight-forward vibrator. It's straight, smooth and firm with little fuss about it. This would be a great vibrator to own if you're nervous about someone coming across it by accident as there is really nothing obvious of offensive about this vibrator. It also lends itself to be used either on the clit, or vaginally, even though there is no bulb or protrusion on the shaft to help specifically stimulate the G-spot.

Great for solo play, I can't see why it also wouldn't be a good companion in a couple's boudoir. It's unassuming and for either partner, shouldn't scare them off if it were to be a first-time toy for them.

The Body & Soul Devotion is one of the more rigid toys I own. Its shaft is smooth, with a satin matte finish to soften its appearance. There is no give anywhere on this toy. The material (ABS plastic with PU coat) also leaves it safe to use with both water-based and silicone lubricants.

The shape of the Body & Soul Devotion is very simple, with a 6-inch straight length with a tapered, almost pointed, end with a max circumference similar to that of an American quarter. It lends itself to be used either on the clit or vaginally. However, as I said before, there are no bends, bulbs or protrusions to aid in direct G-spot stimulation. The shape makes for easy insertion as well as use externally, either by gliding over areas with the shaft or using the rounded, pointed end to direct vibrations to a smaller, more specific area. The size for me was just right with the length and circumference being neither too big, nor too small.

This straight-forward vibrator would make a great first toy for beginners. With its pleasing color selection and its un-intimidating lack of realistic-looking features, it also makes it easy to own if you're a little worried about it being found. It's definitely discreet enough to travel with.

The Body & Soul Devotion has 10 different settings controlled by a push-button, run by 2 AA batteries. The push-button means you must cycle through to get to any one specific setting or speed you might prefer, which could upset a groove if you get one going. A pleasant feature of this toy, however, is if you hold the button down for a good 3 seconds, it will turn all vibration off, so you don't have to cycle through everything just to stop it.

The first the 3 settings go from low, medium and high on the speed settings. The remaining 7 are variations in length of vibrations, mostly on the high speed. If you're looking for variety on a lower setting, this may not be your toy.

The noise is a bit of a concern, especially if it's not inserted completely. I was nervous that it might be heard through a thin wall or door in a quiet house if someone walked by. It would definitely be heard by another party in the same room.

The battery compartment is sealed with an O-ring which provides you with an additional venue to take this vibrator into, whether it's a spa, shower, or bath.

The Soul & Devotion is made with ABS plastic with PU coat, giving it a 7 on the material safety rating. The material and texture allows for easy cleaning with warm water and either soap or a toy cleaner. The material is compatible with both water and silicone based lubricants. I pretty much through this in my toy box with everything else. While I'm not sure if there would be any negative interactions with other or similar materials, as a precaution, I kept and use the bubble-wrap sleeve it came in.

The Body & Soul Devotion comes in minimalistic packaging. A simple cardboard box with the toy's picture and name on it with its various "features" listed on the back. A sheet of instructions, warnings, etc. in multiple languages are included inside, as well as the toy itself, sheathed in a sleeve of bubble wrap.

I am more fond of dual-stimulation vibrators so when I received the Body & Soul Devotion, I wasn't sure how I'd like it. One of the things I love about it is that it isn't pink or purple like the rest of my toys! This would also be a toy I wouldn't be afraid to use with a significant other. The push-button control is not a preferred method of mine, as I'd rather have more control over the speed/intensity of vibrations than have a simple cycle through of different patterns.

It made for a great and simple vibrator to get the job done right and relatively quick. Not to mention, it's super easy to clean and store due to its material and water-proofing O-ring. I'm definitely a girl who's into low-maintenance!
