This traditional shaped vibe is great for anyone who likes the elongated stick shape in their vibes. It works well for outer stimulation as well as internal stimulation. I do not recommend this for anal use due to the lack of a flared base, so I suggest if this is to be used for stimulation for a male that it be used externally only. For those with a vagina the insertion can be quite pleasant as its smooth shape offers no resistance. It is a great simple toy with constant vibes as well as patterns, so it'd be a great toy to purchase to see if patterns appeal to you.

The Devotion is made from PU coated hard plastic, which is smooth and rates a 7 on the Eden Safety Scale. It doesn't really smell like anything except plastic. The material has the slightest bit of drag that can be overcome with a drop of lube. The toy itself has a very smooth, rigid surface with no texture built into it. Anyone could enjoy this simple toy.

The design is a nice, sleek, traditional vibe shape. The battery compartment unscrews at the bottom of the toy. When first opening there is a paper insert to show you which way to put the 2 AA batteries in. On the outer edge of the toy that gets covered by the cap there is an o-ring to seal the battery compartment. This allows the toy to be waterproof. The button is on the very end of the toy on the cap. It is a softer rubbery feeling button that is easy to press. Thankfully just brushing your fingers against it doesn't make the setting change, so you have to actually push the button to change the setting. I like this especially for during use. Since there is no flared base to the toy I suggest only external stimulation or vaginal insertion - not anal.

The toy is 7 1/2" long in total length. You can insert up to 6" of the toy if you insert it all the way to the handle. The handle is 4" around and the insertable portion of the toy is 3 1/2" in circumference at the largest point. It has a very slight decrease in circumference as it tapers to the blunt tip.

This toy is simple to use. To turn it on you simply press the button on the end. To turn the vibe off you hold the button down for about 3 seconds. To change the settings on the toy you press the button once. There are 3 steady vibrations and 7 patterns. The first steady setting is 1 vroom, the second is 2 vrooms, and the third is 3 vrooms. The 7 patterns are as follows:
1. slow 2 vroom pulse
2. faster 2 vroom pulse
3. faster 2 vroom pulse that becomes steady and then increases from 2 vrooms to steady 3 vrooms
4. fast 2 vroom pulse that becomes a pulsing 3 vroom pattern, and repeats
5. steady 3 vrooms that drops down to almost a half vroom then increases in strength, and repeats
6. pulsing 1-2 vrooms that does two short vrooms and a longer vroom, then 3 longer vrooms, then repeats
7. short fast pulsing at 2 vrooms that increases to 3 vrooms for a 3 seconds of steady vibrations, then repeats

The vibrations go all the way through the shaft. At lower speeds it's a cross between buzzy and rumbley. When at 3 vrooms it's only buzzy. The toy can be heard through a blanket or thin walls, so I suggest having the tv or music on at a normal volume if you are trying to be discreet. The batteries last for a while if you use fresh. I don't suggest using even slightly used batteries or you won't get the best vibrations from the toy. I did use this toy in the water for 30 min during a shower. I am happy to report that there was no water in the battery compartment when I reopened it after drying the outside. The submersion test showed the same results. No water! I only tried it for a few minutes on under the water. The vibrations do seem weaker under water as I have found most toys do. Just be sure to close the battery lid tightly to ensure waterproof capabilities.

It is very easy to care for this vibrator. Take out the batteries after every use to ensure that they don't ruin the toy if for some reason it gets to hot. This also ensures your battery life will last longer. To wash the toy use toy cleaner, soap & warm water, or alcohol. In fact the instructions suggested the alcohol method (I just don't think it's the most efficient). The hard plastic of the toy is compatible with silicone and water based lubes. I store this toy in the box it came in for now, but a pouch will also protect the toy. It won't react with other toys so you don't have to store it in anything specifically.

The vibrator comes in a simple small box that made the toy seem very small before I took it out. The box is simple with a picture of the toy and the name of it on the front. California Exotic Novelties has their logo on the front as well. On the back there is a summary of the toy in English, German, French, Spanish, and Russian. It claims to be "very powerful" which I highly disagree with, but everything else on the box is truthful. The package itself is not discreet so I don't suggest opening it in front of company unless you are very open with them about toys. There is an instruction sheet also included that talks about battery placement, cleaning, and electrical malfunction. There is also a small warning section included in the instructions.

I normally can't orgasm with a toy under 4 vrooms, but I found that if I use the vibrator internally with another vibe on my clit I am able to orgasms with some playtime. I didn't care for its function under water as the vibrations seemed dampened by the water.

My husband was not thrilled when I used this on him. I usually massage him with it and tease him with a vibe. This one just didn't speak to him.
