The Devotion, from the Body and Soul line by Cal Exotics, is a traditional 10 function vibrator. It can be used for clitoral stimulation, vaginal stimulation, or erogenous zones anywhere on the body. It is completely straight, so it is not ideal for g-spot stimulation. It does not have a flared base, so I would not recommend it for anal use. Even though it is long, it can still become lost during anal use. The Devotion is best used during masturbation. I found that it is too loud and large to be ideal during sex with my partner. If you have music on in the background, or if you just don't mind the noise, by all means, use this with a partner. It is completely waterproof, so feel free to take the Devotion in the shower or bathtub with you.

Devotion is made of PU coated plastic, which rates as a 7 on the EdenFantasys safety scale. PU coated plastic is phthalates free. The material gives this vibrator a smooth, velvety feel to it. The velvety finish does give this vibrator some drag. It's nothing drastic, but you may need lube. Devotion is hard plastic, so there is little to no give to the toy. It is not flexible or pliable.

Devotion is a traditional vibrator. It is long, slender, completely straight, and slightly tapered at the tip. Devotion is not discreet in design. Anyone who is familiar with traditional vibrators will know right away what it is you're hiding. Speaking of hiding, as long as you have a good hiding spot, Devotion does not take up a lot of space and can easily be stored in small spaces. It is 7 1/2 inches long, with 6 inches of that being insertable. It is 3 1/4 inches in circumference, and 1 inch in diameter.



I have the Devotion in black. It is a matte black that has a gold shimmer to it. On the base is a metallic design or embellishment. It appears to be painted plastic, and it does seem like the paint can chip on this part. However, this part is not on the insertable length, so it should not be a hazard.

After inserting two AA batteries in the bottom, you're ready to turn Devotion on. Devotion is controlled by one button located on the bottom of the cap. You press the button once to cycle through each setting, and hold the button for three seconds to turn the toy off. Devotion has 3 speeds and 7 patterns.

1. Low (2.5 vrooms)
2. Medium (3 vrooms)
3. High (3.5 vrooms)
4. Moderate pulses (1 second pulse, 1 second pause)
5. Fast pulses
6. Fast pulses followed by steady low vibrations, then steady high vibrations
7. Fast pulses followed by slow pulses (2 second pulse, 1 second pause)
8. Escalation, not gradual. Starts off high, then low, medium, high.
9. This pattern cycles between high and low pulses. It's hard to actually map out.

There is not much variation in power. However, it does start off relatively strong. This is the strongest "low" setting I've seen on a vibrator. That said, I do not consider myself a power queen, so keep that in mind.

Devotion does not have a memory. If you turn it off and turn it back on, it will restart at setting one. This can be annoying, because you do have to cycle through every setting.

The vibrations are fairly buzzy, especially on high. It is not the most buzzy toy I own, but it is far from rumbly. It is also loud, especially on higher settings. The vibrations are located in the tip and the top half of the vibrator. They do not lose strength as you travel down the top half. Then, it feels as if the vibrations just suddenly die out when you reach the middle of the toy.

Devotion can be cleaned with your favorite toy cleaner, or even just soap and water. If you plan on sharing the Devotion with a partner, or using the Devotion for vaginal and anal use, please use a condom. The Devotion has mechanical parts that will be ruined if you attempt to sanitize it by boiling it. When using the Devotion, make sure to only use water-based lubes. The button on the bottom appears to be silicone, and silicone lubes can damage this portion of the toy.

The Devotion comes in a white cardboard box. The front of the box features a picture of the toy itself, as well as the name of the line, Body and Soul, and the Cal Exotics logo. The back of the box includes information about the product in 5 different languages. The packaging is not discreet; it would probably not make a suitable gift box. Inside of the box, the Devotion is inside a layer of bubble wrap, and a separate plastic bag.

For a basic, inexpensive vibrator, the Devotion is great. I wasn't expecting a luxury vibrator, but the Devotion still exceeded my expectations. I loved the variation in the patterns, and the fact that it's waterproof. In the shower, I noticed I couldn't hear the motor over the running water, so it is perfect for the times when my roommate is home.

I bounced back and forth between a 3 star and a 4 star rating. While it definitely worked, it's nothing special. I do wish that it could provide g-spot stimulation, as well. Overall, I'm glad I own it, but it's not a stand out vibrator.
