Basic 'gets the job done' kind of toy. It is awesome for clitoral stimulation. I personally do not like it inside because it doesn't have any G-spot handles and isn't very thick. The packaging claims this toy is waterproof, so it could be fun to experiment with it in the bath, pool, or hot tub.

This is a great starter toy because of its girth (not too big), and multi-functional vibration patterns!

The Devotion is a sleek toy with a non-porous surface, very smooth, with a satin finish. It's made of three components: The PU coated plastic (satin finish) for the shaft, a silver plated decor (which has already started to peel), and a silicone on/off button.

The toy does not have a strong scent nor does it retain smell. It's hard to the touch, not bendable at all, and when not being used, it sits at room temperature (not like glass, that may be cold when you first start using).

If you know your body well, pump away. If not, be carful, this toy is hard and can hurt you if you do not probe with control.

The toy is really beautiful; it's bright, classy, and has a very nice design. It is perfect for the home, but not so perfect for travel. The toy can be loud (depending on the setting) and doesn't have a lock, so it may excite your suitcase.

It is great for beginners, but if you're more advanced, this may not be the best fit for you. The toy is very skinny. It is cute but slender. With the circumference being only 3 1/2" around and 1" wide, this toy lacks a little luster if you're looking for the "full" feeling when inserting.

The length is good at 7 1/2"; some women might be able to fit this all the way in, but most women will not. In terms of weight, the toy is not heavy, so it's easy to hold no matter what angle you're coming from.

This toy is great for partner play because it's easy to use, thin enough that it won't hurt when inserted, and there are lots of settings for your partner to keep you on your toes.

When it all boils down to it, "The Devotion" is a very traditional, basic vibrator. What really differentiates it from others are the 10 functions it comes with. Cal Exotics advertises this on the box and on their site. The 10 functions are as follows:

1. A very light steady vibe
2. A medium steady vibe
3. High intensity, steady vibe
4. High intensity pulses (long)
5. Fast lower intensity pulses
6. Fast pulses followed by steady escalation
7. Fast Pulses then it stops, vibration then it stops...and so on
8. Vibrate, stop, vibrate, stop
9. Slow escalation
10. The poo poo platter: vibrations, pulses, escalation (this one is cool!)

The control button is found on the bottom. It's a silicone button, the same color as the device. It's easy to push, and changes through the ten settings listed above, after every push. Once you push through all ten, it goes back to the first one. To turn it off, you will hold the silicone power button down for three seconds.

The toy is pretty loud, so be aware of your surroundings before you turn it on!

The Great thing about "The Devotion" is it's easy to clean! Warm soapy water, toy cleaner, or wipes will do the trick, and quick! It's long, smooth, and easy to run your hands up and down, so you'll have it clean in seconds. Also it's waterproof, so you won't have to worry too much about holding it under the water (although the seal on the inside of the cap doesn't look fool-proof)...

Once it's done being cleaned, it air dries EXTREMELY fast, or, of course, you can towel it off. You can re-store it in its original package, or a satin pouch if you have one! The devotion is made of a PU coated plastic, so you don't need to worry if you're looking to store it with other toys.

Water based or silicon lubes work with this toy--so it's multi functional when it comes to oiling up your toys.

The packaging of this toy is very basic. If you're looking to give this as a gift, you're probably going to want to dress it up a little more. It comes in a white box (as pictured) with the name and toy on the front. Inside it has a folded piece of paper with instructions and cleaning directions in different languages. Nothing to write home about.

Since the toy is hard, I chose to use it laying on my back, so that I would have full control over the insertion. I found the vibration was too intense to use internally, so I took it out to use for clitoral stimulation. This worked well. There is a function that changes through a bunch of different speeds and intensities. I liked this one because it kept me on my toes, guessing which string of vibrations was next. I must admit, the toy is moderately loud, nothing like the almost silenced Liv by Lelo, so if you have roommates or live at home, this is definitely one you would want to use under the comforter.

I haven't had a chance to try it in the water yet (it's waterproof!), but that's certainly next on my to-do list next to grocery shopping, cleaning the house, washing the car.
