Little honey - traditional vibrator discontinued by Shaki Toys - review by dracarys

Shaki Toys' Little Honey is a tiny vibe best used for clitoral and other external stimulation. I'd call it a bullet vibe, but its unusual shape and its length make me think that might not be accurate. The Honey could be used to stimulate any external erogenous zones, but its small size make it difficult for vaginal stimulation and a DEFINITE no for anal stimulation. Again: DO NOT USE THIS TOY ANALLY! It's tiny and has no base, so it would get lost in a heartbeat. Because it's only meant to be used externally, this toy could be used for all genders. Its small size makes this a definite option for partnered play. Because it lights up and looks, in my opinion, ridiculous, this could easily be given as a gag gift or at a bachelorette party, especially because of its price!

The Little Honey is made of plastic, which has a safety rating of 8 on the EF scale. Water-based, oil-based, and silicone-based lubricants can be used with this toy. The Honey has a slight odor upon removing it from the package; the best I can say is that it smells 'new' or 'plasticky'. The Honey is smooth, though not just what you'd expect plastic to be. It feels a bit velvety, and so has a bit of drag when moving it along skin. Lube can only improve this toy! The Honey comes in pink and purple, so it's very geared towards feminine people.

This toy is TINY. It's a little under an inch in diameter at its widest point and 4 1/4" long. The Honey is shaped somewhat like a bowling pin. There's a round head, then it tapers down and bulges out again about halfway down the shaft. I don't quite understand why the Honey has this shape, since it's too small to get any pleasure from insertion. Again, its shape seems to distinguish it from a bullet vibe. The battery cap is clear and there's a slight seam where it meets the majority of the Honey, though this is bridged by a ring to help keep the Honey completely waterproof.

The Honey's best feature is its variety of settings. These are controlled by a single button at the end of the toy. One click goes between settings, and the vibrations are as follows:

1. Steady vibration, lights on.
2. Steady higher vibration, lights on.
3. Steady highest vibration, lights on.
4. Cycling vibration, from low to high and back. Lights follow vibration.
5. Intermittent buzzing, lights flash.
6. Faster intermittent buzzing, lights flash faster. Looks like a rave.
7. Steady highest vibration, lights on.

The next click turns the toy off.

Try as I might, I couldn't distinguish between #3 and #7, but maybe that's just me. The vibrations are very buzzzy and the toy sounds follow the vibration exactly. To my ears, it's just annoying. While the vibrations are concentrated near the tip of the toy, unless you hold nothing but the cap, your fingers really shake along with the toy, which I would imagine would get annoying after prolonged use.

At its strongest vibration, I rate the Honey at about 2 vrooms. I feel like it tries to get to a 3, but it's just too superficial for me to rate it any higher.

The Honey is waterproof and takes 3 watch batteries. There's no way to lock the controls, so make sure to take out the batteries if you're going to be traveling with this toy.

Plastic is pretty easy to care for - just wipe it down after each use with warm water and soap or isopropyl alcohol. Because the Honey is waterproof, you don't have to worry about getting this toy wet to clean it. Do not, however, boil this toy or put it in the dishwasher - you'll just have a broken toy. The Honey came in a box that I found too large for storage, especially compared to the small size of this vibrator. Because this toy is so small, though, it can be stored anywhere - mine just goes in my toy drawer, rolling around with my other bullets. Anywhere you can come up with is a good spot for this toy, though, because it is so small and will go anywhere!

The Honey really didn't do anything for me. The vibrations weren't strong enough to get any clitoral stimulation, and using it in various places just got annoying, trying to maneuver it while keeping my hand on the cap and not the shaft.

Also, still trying to figure out what to do with the ring it came with. It's pretty useless for me.
