I didn't ask for a light show but I sure got one

In terms of design this is not my favorite toy. It will not be the model by which I base future purchases on but, it does deliver in terms of power and price. It's easy to clean, easy to get off with, and would make a good travel buddy that wouldn't break your heart or be financially devistating if it was lost in transit.

Use

I would use this toy as a nice warm-up for other toy play (such as the Doc Johnson Decadence Thumper I tested) or for penetrative intercourse. It is also an easy way to get an orgasm filled solo play session. It is especially good when pressed for time. When a small and portable toy that performs well is needed for travel, this is a good choice. If left behind or lost in transit the low price of the Little Honey makes it an easy toy to replace.

The Little Honey is particularly nice for clitoral and other external genital stimulation. The day this arrived on my doorstep I used it, and was satisfied, for the first few orgasms of a menstrual cramp-reducing extended solo play session. It would be a good choice for sensation play. You will laugh at the rather ridiculous light show put on with each and every setting. If you have a laughter-prone and hopefully ticklish partner you can enjoy a bit of BDSM by forbidding them to laugh and then proceeding to tease while pointing out and playing up the silliness of the toy's lighting features.

Material / Texture

The material has a nice feel to it. It is not as smooth and seamless as the Doc Johnson Decadence Thumper I tested along with it. Any slight imperfections in the surface were not noticeable in play and the velvety texture makes it pleasant to have come in contact with skin, especially when lube is applied beforehand. There was a slight odor but it was not overwhelming and did not detract from my experience.
    • Light odor
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

I prefer a g-spot stimulating design such as the Doc Johnson Decadence Thumper. The Honey's design made it very comfortable and easy to use for external stimulation and as an insertable vibrator. Aesthetically it is a bit distracting even when turned off and sans the light show. The shape is a good one. For my petite size this was especially appropriate even with the variable width of the insertable portion of the toy. Depending upon individual preferences and anatomy not everyone will get a sufficiently "full" feeling from the Honey. The small size makes it very easy to hide. The Honey's appearance, especially with the lack of an accompanying case, makes the the toy not discreet. It is sized (and priced) just right for travel, with the caveat that the accompanying light show and increasing noise level as you ramp up the settings mean it is not a discreet toy to play with in a shared living space or in shared travel accommodations.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I appreciated the variable settings, including ones that vary when the pulses occur as opposed to having steady vibrations of varying intensities only. It would be preferable if the control for the Honey was a dial instead of a push button, since as you go higher (push the button more times) the settings get into higher intensities and/or variable pulsing and if you want it off you are going to be going through all of those first. You can click the button fairly fast but if you are "done" and either want the vibrations gone completely or want to ramp them down, then it may not be what you want. This is not the most discreet of toys, especially on higher settings and especially because the noise of the vibrations is accompanied by a light show from the toy. It is not absolutely ruckus causing but you may want to exercise caution as to when you use it if you have a shared living space where discretion is required or advisable.
    • Easy to use
    • Multiple settings
    • Not very discreet

Care and Maintenance

This was very easy to clean, even after using it as part of an hour long solo play session to help with menstrual cramps the day it arrived on my doorstep. It is a serious lint collector so either use cleanser wipes or a thoroughly wet washcloth that you know is not likely to shed fibers. I was apparently still under the influence of the painkiller I had taken earlier in the day for my menstrual symptoms and when I had the great idea of using a wet paper towel to wipe down the toy after having used a cleanser wipe (I wanted to be extra sure that there would be nothing that would irritate my sensitive skin the next time I used the toy). Do not do this. If you do, be prepared to run the toy under water in order to (hopefully) get all the little fibers off. It is still slightly grabby with something like a cleanser wipe but it's not a deal breaker especially for the price and for the time it takes to run it under water and then let it air dry. There is no accompanying case, so after letting it air dry almost completely I set it in a zip-top bag that I left open until I could detect no further traces of moisture.

A lot of other reviewers are saying that there isn't enough power in this. I guess that just goes to show what might be weak for one might be just right for some one else. Thanks for the great review.

You are all most welcome! And excellent point. It's definitely not as strong as, for example, the Decadence Thumper that I own, but for me at least it still has enough power and without being overly noisy or a (partly financial) heartbreak if lost during travel, for example. And for someone who is particularly sensitive sensation-wise and/or petite it's quite nice and possibly more desirable than something with more power.

Thank you for the review and you are right that one persons feelings for the vibs are not everyones. Some people can take more than others in that since
