Little Honey - a loud psychedelic light show with weak vibrations!

The Little Honey is a weak vibrator that makes a lot of noise and lights. It's definitely not my favorite toy but it was fun to see it light up in the dark. It's easy to use, waterproof, and and has 7 vibration settings but they were numbing and a little too boring for me. A beginner or sensitive user might like this toy. If the vibrations were stronger it would have been better. It's cute but that's about it! I wouldn't purchase it again.

Use

The Little Honey vibrator is a simple and affordable toy that would be best for beginners, people who are extremely sensitive to vibrations, couples looking for a little extra stimulation, or for those that want a fun novelty toy. You get the Little Honey vibrator, a stretchy jelly ring, and x3 LR44 button cell batteries. The box claims that this toy is both "powerful" and "silent" which are completely false statements. I found this vibrator to be loud and the vibrations to be weak and unsatisfying. This vibrator is meant for stimulating the clit, nipples, or anywhere externally on the body. It would make a good teaser to warm you up but don't expect it to finish you off. The toy can also be used for penetration but it's very short and slim and can only be inserted a couple of inches at the most. The jelly ring is meant to be used on the vibrator and looks too small to be used as a cock ring. I'm guessing it's just for added stimulation but it really didn't serve it's purpose for me. At least they give you the batteries!

The coolest thing about this toy is the crazy light show! There's a light inside of the tip of the vibrator that flashes colors of bright blue and violet purple. I've never had a vibrator like this and I think it's fun in a novelty type way. It's just for show which is fun but I don't feel like it's necessary. I don't really need a crazy light show up in my vagina, thank you! Other people might think this is awesome though and might want to pick it up just for fun. It would be a fun gag gift! If you're looking for a better and more serious vibrator that's really going to get you off I'd pass on this one.

Material / Texture

The Little Honey is made of soft velvety plastic. It's easy to clean, velvety to the touch, affordable, and can be used with any kind of lube. It's a bright red/violet purple that's slightly see through. With velvety plastic toys there's a little bit of drag even with lube (which I love!) and it costs a lot less than silicone toys. According to Eden's saftey ratings the Little Honey is an 8, which is good enough for me!

The ring is made of jelly which is my least favorite material. Jelly is sticky, often times smelly, but is often cheap and affordable. If you're looking for a vibrator that's inexpensive I would definitely suggest looking at plastic toys over jelly. The jelly ring that's included with this toy is sticky, stretchy, and has little nubs on it for added stimulation. No where on the box does it state if it's free of phthalates or not. Fortunately, the ring didn't have any strong scent that I could detect. Jelly isn't a very body safe material with a rating of around 2. It cannot be 100% sanitized and it's recommended that you use a condom over jelly toys. You can use water or silicone based lube with jelly. I found the ring to be completely useless to me and covering it with a condom really isn't worth the effort. I'd rather not use it at all.

Design / Shape / Size

The Little Honey is 4" long and about 1" wide at the most. The shape curves inwards towards the upper middle part of the vibrator so the bottom and the tip are slightly wider. The tip of the vibrator is round. There are seams on each side of the toy but they are extremely light to the touch and can hardly be seen. I like the curvy shape of the vibrator but it's so small that you can't feel it very well. It's meant to be more of a clit stimulator than to be inserted even though it could possibly be inserted 3" at the most.

The ring is 1 1/4" wide unstretched. It can stretch (to the maximum) about 2" wide. The ring has round circular nubs all around it. There's a light visible seam on the outside of the ring that can barely be felt.

The size of the vibrator is really on the small side. I find it a bit too boring for myself but it might be a good choice for someone that's never used a toy before or wants something simple and non-threatening looking to share with a partner. It's pretty obvious that it's a vibrator so it's not entirely discreet. Due to the small size it's very easy to hide. You could travel with it but I would highly recommend taking the batteries out first so that they don't drain and also so it won't accidently turn on in your luggage!

Functions / Performance / Controls

This toy requires 3x LR44 batteries which are included. To insert the batteries you unscrew the bottom cap off of the toy and insert all the batteries with the letters facing upwards. Then screw the cap back on firmly but don't over wind it or you could break it. I found this to be slightly annoying because it's easily to twist the cap on sideways. It reminds me of when I sometimes put the cap back on a water bottle and it'll go on crooked.

To turn the vibrator on there's a small button to press at the bottom of the toy. It's very simple to use and very easy to press. It's so easy to press that it might be a bad thing! If you accidently bump it it'll go to the next vibration setting and the only way to go back is to cycle through all the vibration options again.

The vibrations in order are:
1. Low
2. Medium
3. High
4. Low to high to low, it repeats sort of like it's on a loop like this: "bzzzZZZZZZzzzzz! bzzzZZZZZZzzzzzz!
5. Pulse
6. What I like to call "Machine Gun Mode!"
7. Very High
8. Off

The only way to get to a particular setting is to cycle through all the other ones. You can't turn it off quickly either which could possibly be problematic if you're living with other people and they accidently walk in on you! The box says that the vibrator is water proof and I've only gone as far as washing it under the sink. The cap has a plastic ring to keep water out. So far I haven't had any kind of problems with water getting inside of the vibrator.

The vibrations are definitely a 3/5 and are too weak for me. They're really buzzy and if you hold it in your hands it'll make your hand feel numb almost instantly. I turned the vibrator on and left it in my room and closed the door to see if I could hear it through the wall. Yup! You can definitely hear it, especially when it's on it's higher settings. It's defintely not "silent." The vibrations were so weak and numbing that none of the settings really did anything for me at all and made me feel numb and very slightly aroused. This vibrator could possibly be good for teasing but not much else. Maybe a more sensitive user would find this toy more exciting.

Care and Maintenance

To clean the Little Honey just wash it under the sink with warm water and toy wash/hand wash. The rubber ring in the cap keeps water out so you don't need to worry about ruining it. The toy is smooth with no ridges or textures so it's very easy to clean. Then let it air dry on a towel. It's extremely easy to wash and take care of. You can wash the jelly ring the same way but it's best to air dry it on the plastic box or just a paper towel. Jelly can get sticky and it can pick up lint.

You can keep the box to store it in if you don't have anything else. I'd recommend throwing it away and using something else. The plastic box is cheap and it doesn't really want to stay closed unless you tape the bottom shut. I threw the box away.

You can use both the jelly ring and the vibrator with water or silicone based lubes.

It's recommended that you don't keep your batteries in the toy when not in use as it could drain your batteries. It's best to take them out and store them.

Packaging

The Little Honey comes in a clear plastic box. It says, "Naughty" in large letters and "Little Honey" in smaller letters towards the bottom. The packaging is very generic and plain. The wording on the box makes it obvious that's it's made in China. It says, "7 function silent vibrating! Use by yourself or share with your partners. Smooth velvet finish for a sensual feel."

They also give you a life time warranty. A life time?! I highly doubt I'll be wanting this toy around for an entire life time. It says, "Safe this card. If the product is defective, return product with original store receipt and this card along with a money order for $8 to the store where you bought it. We will repair or replace the defective item at our discretion. We reserve the right to substitute replacement with similar item of equal or greater value." Yes, it says "Safe" not "Save" and I'm assuming the "card" they are talking about is the box itself? Plus you have to have $8 which is pretty much what this toy is worth. Save yourself the trouble and just buy a new toy if this one ever breaks.

It also says, "Do not use on irritated areas or open wounds or sores. If rash or irritation develops discontinue. Clean with soap and water before and after each use." We all know that already, don't we? I'd hope so.

I'm surprised that there's no actual brand logo on the box and no information about what the toy is actually made of. The box is very minimal but at least it's easy to recycle.

Follow-up commentary
Unfortunately, I hardly ever use this vibrator. It's ok for a warm up but it's so weak that I usually choose another vibrator over this one. The ring was useless to me and I'm not a fan of jelly so I threw it away. I like the vibrator because it's small, soft, has a nice overall design, and has different settings but the weak vibrations and the crazy light show turn me off. I still have it in my toy box because I think the lights are pretty entertaining but I'm not entirely sure if I should keep holding onto it. It was a fun freebie though, that's for sure! I think it would make a nice non-threatening first time vibe if you're a little wary of vibrations and don't mind the crazy lights. It would also make a great gag gift! It was fun to try but it's far from my go-to vibrator.
