A dissapointment

A solid parfum is a more portable version of a liquid perfume, and is intended to be applied at the pulse point and to make you smell pretty. It's essentially a scent-packed, thick oil that is contained in a purse-sized jar. It's wonderful for people who are on the go and like to freshen up their scent, but carrying around a spritz bottle or perfume is too much of a hassle or risk for them. As an on the go college student, that describes me exactly.

Ideally, this would be good to apply after hitting the gym or getting stuck in a muggy room in order to freshen up, but for reasons described below it just didn't do it for me. This would be great for those who get headaches from scents or have allergies.

The ingredients are as follows:

Macadamia Oil, Cocouut Oil, Beeswax, Jojoba Oil, Fragrance, Mica

As with any skin product, you should do a test patch on a small area of skin to make sure you aren't allergic before going all out and using it in visible areas.

This parfum has a consistency similar to a thick lip gloss. It's very creamy and sleek, but doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy or oily at all. You may not want to use this on an area that you have oil problems or easily clogged pored, but otherwise this would be fine to put on any areas of your chest, neck, arms, legs, or wherever else you think needs it.

Once it's applied and rubbed in, this doesn't move around or rub off at all. I haven't noticed it making my hair any greasier when applied just beneath my hair line, and when applied on my wrists it didn't rub on to my jacket at all over the course of the day.

After it fades a bit it doesn't leave any type of residue or film at all. I really like this, especially for a wax- and oil-based product. It's a bit hard to apply because you have to swirl your ringer around the container until you get a good amount, but once it's on your finger it's easy to apply to the intended area.

The main reason that I looked into this product is that I'm in love with Not Soap Radio's Island Hopping scent. I often use the lotion to give a light undertone to my other perfumes and I just feel like it smells clean and fun.

The best way I can describe it is smelling like a lemon cookie. The scent here had a very similar effect as the lotion did. In the bottle is smells like citrus-y pina colada, with a hint of vanilla. As soon as I put in on my skin, however, the scent changes from creamy to more tang-y. On one hand I love the scent of vanilla, but over time I have grown to love the lemony goodness of this line.

The lemon and the scent of verbena are very strong, and the creamy undertones of vanilla remained from the bottle, but the musky and coconuty smells listed really fail to show up when I smell it on my skin/

The definition of the scent is: coconut, lemongrass, verbena, musk, the tiniest bit of vanilla

I tasted this on my skin and it mostly tasted like wax. It wasn't a terrible taste, but I wouldn't recommend tasting this if you don't have to. It also isn't meant for ingestion due to some of the ingredients.

This product was a total let down for me after my awesome experience with the body souffle. I assumed that the purpose of this was to rub it on your parts and have your parts smell nice for an extended period of time. When I use a liquid scent that's the purpose, so I assumed that this would be similar. It wasn't.

This scent fades SUPER fast. To give you an example, I got this at the same time with a few other lip glosses. I used one finger to try out the gloss and another finger to collect and apply this scent. The gloss scent stayed around longer than this stuff.

I personally find that after about 15 minutes I can't smell this product without putting my nose right up to the area I applied it to and, even then, it's not easy to pick out. This doesn't do anything at all to freshen your scent or to invigorate you entirely because you can't smell it.

This is awesome if you just want a suuuuper light scent or you often get headaches, but I personally don't see the reason to spend $15 on a scented product that you can't smell. If you want to wash this off you can easily do so with soap and water.

This product comes in a duper cute, metal and glass container. It's the perfect size to throw into a purse and, even though it's glass, it's one of the sturdiest containers that I have a beauty product in. The container came in a small cardboard box with a cutout from the top. The box doesn't tell you much sans the other scents and what it is.

The label in the bottom has some basic information such as the ingredients and the instructions of use. The top has the cutest label and features waves, fish, and seashells. I wish that this was as wonderful as it looks. I wouldn't hesitate to give this as a gift due to the packaging, but wouldn't for other reasons.

I got this to try because I LOVE the scent of the lotion and thought that having something to add the scent of the lotion without having to go through the lotion just for the scent would be wonderful. This product? Not wonderful. I don't know if it's because this is a lighter, fresher scent or if it has to do with the chemical composition of the product, but I cannot recommend this.

I am going to look into getting the body spray of this product in hopes that it will do what this couldn't, but I now have one awesome and one awful bath product from this line.

Even though I love the scent, I am giving this product 3 stars. It's saving grace is still the great scent, the amazing packaging, the low price, and the natural ingredients.
