Dona body wash - soap discontinued by System JO - review by firepower442

My wife and I tried the Dona body wash as soon as it showed up on our door step yesterday evening. We had been anticipating this product for some time now and we finally got a chance to try it last night! The Dona products are offered at such a great price anyway, but when EF offered 20% off store wide for Valentine's Day, we really couldn't pass up the opportunity to try out this new product line from the trusted System JO brand.
It made the perfect addition to a sensual candle lit shower for two that turns into a naughty and sexy shower for two thanks to the aphrodisiacs infused right in to the body wash. The ingredients are eco-friendly and on the natural side (something that is important to my wife as not only the most adorable tree hugger I have ever seen, but also as someone with very dry and sensative skin). This body wash contains no petrochemicals, no triclosen, no pthtalates, and is paraben free. Instead it has ingredients like coffee, water, goji berry, mango extracts, green tea, and natural fragrances. It is also clear in color so there is no artificial coloring to irratate the skin.

The texture of the body wash is very silky and smooth. It lathered very well for us with just the hot water of our shower and a plain old wash cloth. Your skin will not feel greasy or sticky (this one is important for me because I have very oily acne prone skin on my shoulders). The formula was a great consistancy, the same as your typical shower gel or body wash from your typical high end bath and body store such as the body shop or bath and body works. It is very easy to pump out onto the wash cloth and it only took three pumps to lather up the both of us in a very smooth, thick, and frothy lather. If I would not have been the one to order this, I would have thought this shower gel cost a fortune! Nope! It is only $9.99 for a 9.5 fluid ounce bottle. The one thing I will say about the pump, is make sure if your bottle is more full (like our brand new bottle was last night) you set the bottle down flat when pumping. I tried holding it in one hand pressed against my body last night when we tried this for the first time and the bottle was slightly tilted. Because of this, the shower gel because leaking out of the top of where the pump goes down into the bottle.
I could feel a tingly sensation on my skin although I am not sure if this was a product of the shower gel, or the fact that my beautiful wife was standing naked and wet in front of my in the shower sudsing me up!

I was a little worried about the scent when I first ordered the Dona shower gel. We tried the Camu Camu. My wife sells these electric warmers from a company called Scentsy and Camu Camu is her favorite scent of wax so I decided to order that one. However, I don't hate the scent but Scentsy's version of Camu Camu is a very strong and potent fruity sweet scent. But it is my wife's favorite, I love her and it was a gift for her so I figured I could live with it for her sake. Dona's version of Camu Camu, although still fruity, was a lot more light and way more subtle. I really enjoyed the scent. I could really pick out the light scent of pear! It was very refreshing!
It won't stick around very long past the shower, but it was the perfect potency!

Do not let the girly, light, and fruity scent fool you...the cleaning power of this shower gel is amazing! I work a manual labor job at an auto parts yard and scrap yard so I get pretty filthy, sweaty, and greasy during the day. This shower gel cleaned me right up without having to spend excessive time scrubbing away at the dirt and oil. We were both squeeky clean!
Even after doing the dirty together in the shower, we both felt very clean, very refreshed, and very relaxed. The aphrodisiacs seemed to almost do two jobs. They turned us on more in the heat of the moment, and then after the big "O" for both of us, were were able to dry each other off, get into our jammies, and spend the rest of the evening cuddled up together in bed with a good movie. My wife works a very stressful and demanding job and on top of that is a full-time student to anything that brings her to that point of relaxation where she can comfortable and gently fall asleep in my arms is a miracle product for me!

I love the deep purple color of the label and the black lace print it features. It made the perfect gift for my elegant little lady.
We love the pump style bottle! It is very convenient when you are trying to suds up and get clean in a hurry (or you have your hands and your eyes a little pre-occupied with a gorgeous lady).
The bottle itself is clear. This is great because you can see how much product you still have left so you know when it is time to reorder (because we will most definitely be reordering this and many Dona bath and body products).

Again, this product is infused with aphrodisiacs to enhance the sexual drive between you and your partner whether you are using this product solo or together. And again, I did feel a tingly sensation on my skin, but I cannot be sure whether or not it was a product of the shower gel or because my amazing wife and I finally got a chance to shower together and shower long enough to turn it into a sexual encounter.

Dona shower gel does everything it promises to do and more. We will definitely continue buying this product as well as other products from the Dona bath and body product line!
