Use

Intimate Organics' Aromatherapy Massage oil is designed to relax the muscles, stimulate the senses, and increase positive mood.
Front

If you are a lover of the scent, as well as giving or receiving massages this would be perfect to invest in.

I will use "therapeutic massage" quite frequently throughout this review, which is generally a non-erotic massage that includes great attention to the back, lower back, calves, neck, shoulder, hands and arms, and finally the temples. This is a deep tissue massage that really requires good manipulation of pressure points and targeted removal of painful knots. It is not limited to those areas of the body, but those are usually the ones I target with a very particular kneading motion. As a former athlete, we used to receive these kinds of massages periodically from the trainers, which helped to enhance my normal massage techniques.

Aside from use as just a massage oil, this product has the added plus of having wonderful natural ingredients that really moisturize and heal the skin. You could definitely invest in this as explicitly a massage oil, or a body moisturizing product. However, due to the small size of the bottle, it lasts longer as a massage oil.

This does not contain any pheromones, but you may find yourself pleasantly stimulated by the scent. It really is great for its intended use as an aromatherapy product, and it could easily be a well-appreciated gift made to a friend or partner. It is not a lubricant and though the ingredients are natural, it was not intended to be used in that way.

I usually add when I review body products that I have sensitive skin. I had no negative reactions to this oil which has now traversed the whole terrain of my body except for some places it just doesn't belong. It has made it as far as my inner thighs without irritation. So for those of you that worry about how things will sit with you, this is not a huge concern unless you allergic to plant-based products, especially aloe.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The massage oil is fairly thin, almost with the texture and viscosity of baby oil, but definitely not as oily. It isn't greasy, sticky, nor tacky as it is smooth and velvety with a great moisturizing quality and is easy to pour. It does run almost immediately when I place a drop into my hand, so do be careful for spillage. Even if it does spill, which it has, it has washed out of my sheets with no trouble. It has a pop cap top dispenser (press one side, other side pops up) and is easily maneuvered and dispensed with one hand.

Taste / Aroma

Intimate Organics' Aromatherapy Massage Oil is available in Black Pepper & Pink Grapefruit, Peony Blush, and of course Vanilla and Chai.

It is hard to describe the Vanilla and Chai without saying it smells just like the tea.
It reminds me of Christmas, and gingerbread with a hint of cinnamon and cardamom.
If you don't like any of those things, then this isn't going to work for you, but overall I find the scent to be fairly androgynous. I could see anyone being comfortable with the scent and you can go out afterwards and not worry about smelling too perfumy. The scent lasts about 45 minutes and really only lingers if someone is going to be in super close proximity to you, like right in your skin.

The aroma is strong, but not overpowering and extremely pleasant. It lingers lightly in the air, swirling around you whether you are receiving or giving the massage. It is relaxing for both parties involved and if you like the scent as much as I do, it can be quite arousing. You can easily keep things strictly therapeutic, or amp it up for a nice little erotic lead into foreplay.

I have used it both ways with a former partner and even licked areas I massaged. It didn't really have much of a taste, so though it is not an oral enhancer, you would not have to worry about tasting something unpleasant if things did progress to "Hot and Heavy."

Performance

As mentioned, the scent of the oil lasts for about 45 minutes to an hour, while the actual moisturizing qualities last for hours after use. My skin always feels nice and smooth, it absorbs nicely, and feels like there is nothing on my skin. This makes washing off not necessary after use, and once you are ready to clean up, it isn't an issue.

The best thing about this product is that it really stands up to a 30 minute therapeutic and aromatic massage without you having to use a whole lot. I think this is absolutely fantastic since the bottle is a bit small.

As far as the worst thing, I can't say there is a whole lot unless you don't like the smell, and you have allergies to ingredients that are exclusively plant derived.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Allergy concerns
    • Feels natural

Packaging

The bottle came as is without any special packaging.
It is discreet in the sense that it isn't an exclusively sexual product like a lubricant and so massage oil is harmless. Although, everyone will know that it is massage oil.

I haven't had any problems with spilling as the bottle seals nice and tight, but if you really must travel with this, put it into a smaller bottle. It transfers easily and as mentioned, you don't need a lot for a nice massage. It really is long-lasting.

Personal comments

I absolutely love this oil and will continue to do so until it runs out, which probably won't be for quite some time. Even at 120 mL, you really can't go wrong and out of the available scents, I would steer clear of Peony Blush for fear of flowers which might not make the aromatic experience that pleasurable. The wonderful thing about the Chai scent is really how well they capture the subtle notes of spices that make sipping chai tea a pleasurable experience. One of the ingredients, which is Lemongrass, can be boiled to make tea itself which I often do at home. That alone is wonderful for the body and adds a little extra for the skin and for the heart. My hats off to a truly therapeutic massage experience.
Follow-up commentary
I still absolutely love my Aromatherapy massage oil. If I was having the chance to use this more often the bottle would most likely be finished, but you do not need a whole lot of this in one sitting to get a nice, aromatic massage out of it. It warms up in the hands nicely and definitely smells exactly like Chai, one of my favorite teas of all time.
