Aromatherapy massage oil - oil discontinued by Intimate Organics - review by raffi

Intimate Organics Aromatherapy Massage Oil is designed as a topical massage oil. It contains all natural USDA Certified Organic ingredients. It comes in a 4oz plastic bottle with a flip top. It does not specifically say "external use only" like many other massage oils do, and it does not contain any toxic or questionable ingredients. However, it is also not marketed or labeled as a personal lubricant, either. Given the ingredient purity, I had no qualms to kiss his back as I was massaging him-it tastes slightly sweet.




Ingredients as listed on product label: Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Parfum, Tocopheryl Acetate, Certified Organic Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Certified Organic Lycium Barbarum (Goji Berry) Fruit Extract, Certified Organic Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemon Grass) Leaf/Steam Extract, Certified Organic Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Extract

I found this oil to be very silky, with a slightly greasy feel on my hands when first applied. As it absorbs into the skin, it makes the skin feel just soft, silky, and nice-not sticky at all.

I ordered "Vanilla Chai," I think it smells just like a Dunkin Donuts Vanilla Chai - he thinks it smells like Cinnamon. The scent is very, very faint, and I like it-he, however, doesn't care for it at all, he likes strong citrus scents.

I try to get gender neutral scents, so that if it does leave a lingering scent on him, at least he doesn't smell feminine.

I used about 2 tablespoons on his back and it was approximately 20 minutes until it was mostly absorbed. When he put some on my back, it felt somewhat cool when he first dripped it on, but it warmed up quickly (however, it did not have a "warming/heating" sensation).

I did not feel the need to shower afterward, because it seemed to be all absorbed into my skin. I didn't shower and it did not leave marks on my sheets or make me feel sticky or sweaty. The next morning, there was no noticeable fragrance residue.

This came just as the tube of oil, it has a very tasteful, sensual label.

I looked up the manufacturer before purchasing, and found it to my liking. Intimate Organics manufactures only Paraben Free, Glycerine Free, DEA Free, Vegan products with Certified Organic extracts-no preservatives and no synthetic ingredients. For me, this is a make or break-if there are ingredients that I don't feel comfortable with or am unfamiliar with, I simply won't purchase a product.

We have recently been using ONO Massage oils, this oil is has a much milder scent compared to ONO. It is pleasing, but not a lingering scent.
