This aromatherapy massage oil is a fantastic massage oil from Intimate Organics. I have this massage oil in the Vanilla Chai scent. The massage oil is also available in Black Pepper & Grapefruit and Peony Blush scents. This massage oil is perfect for a sensual massage or just a simple back rub at the end of a long day. To use this massage oil, simply apply a small amount to any external body part you wish to massage. It can be used for back massages, foot massages, or full body massages.

The massage oil is paraben free, DEA free, naturally derived, pure vegan, and contains USDA certified organic extracts. It is not tested on animals. It does not contain glycerin. While the ingredients list is impressive, please keep in mind that not every ingredient is organic, so it is not a 100% organic massage oil.

Ingredients:
Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut Oil), Parfum, Tocopheryl Acetate, Certified Organic Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Certified Organic Lycium Barbarum Goji Berry Fruit Extract and Certified Organic Cymbopogon Schoenathus Lemon Grass Leaf/Stem Extract and Certified Organic Aloe Barbadensis Aloe Leaf Extract

This massage oil is good for 12 months after it is opened and should be stored between 10-30 degrees celsius (50-86 fahrenheit).

This is a very watery, oily massage oil. I’d say it has a viscosity very close to that of water. When I poured this on my partner’s back, it instantly ran all the way down to the small of his back. I’d keep a towel nearby in case this runs off your partner’s body during application. Since it is oil, there is a chance that it can stain some fabrics. Once it is rubbed in, however, it stays put. On the skin, it feels very thin, oily, and greasy. It doesn’t have a thick or sticky feeling on the skin like some other massage oils I’ve used. When my partner applied this to my body, I could not feel it on my skin. It spreads very well, so a little bit goes a long way.

The Vanilla Chai scent is amazing! I can’t get enough of it. It just makes me want to curl up with blanket in front of a fire. It’s a true chai scent and reminds me of a chai tea latte. My partner said it reminded him of gingersnap cookies. It’s a very light, spicy scent. The scent is not overwhelming but it does linger. After we finished with our massages, my partner and I went to shower. When we returned to our bedroom about a half an hour later, our room still smelled like the massage oil but not in an overpowering way. It left a lightly perfumed smell to the air for a while. If you’re sensitive to strong scents, I would still recommend this massage oil. I can’t speak for the other scents in the line but the Vanilla Chai is the right mix of subtle and spicy with a hint of sweet, warm vanilla. As far as taste, it’s not labeled as “kissable” or “edible” but it does have a slightly sweet and spicy cinnamon-like flavor. I wouldn’t recommend ingesting this on purpose, but some all-over body kisses will not leave you with a bad taste in your mouth during a massage.

This massage oil worked wonderfully. When I saw how thin it spread, I was worried this wouldn’t be enough or that I would have to reapply every few minutes. The little bit that I did apply was perfect, which surprised me. It provided a thin, slick surface for my hands to glide over. It did not absorb into my partner’s skin very fast at all. Each massage lasted about 20 minutes and we did not have to reapply the oil at all. Any longer massages may need more oil however. I also used this with a glass dildo (Rainbow Heart) and it worked really well with that as well. If you are using any massage tool, please be aware that they will get very slick and you can easily lose your grip on them.

After a massage, this massage oil cleans up very easily. Using a dry towel, my partner and I were able to remove most of the massage oil. It did not leave a sticky or oily residue. When using just a towel, our skin felt moisturized as if we had just used lotion. After a shower, all traces of the massage oil were removed.

The bottle is a 4 oz plastic bottle. It has a black push-top style cap. The cap can be kind of tough to open, it definitely takes more force than some bottles I’ve used in the past. It can still be easily opened with one hand, however. I did notice that when I open the bottle, it tends to “spray” droplets of oil everywhere, so be careful where you open this. Writing this review, I covered my computer screen in massage oil. Oops. The lid screws on tight and the cap is hard to “accidentally” push in, so it is not a leaky bottle at all. The only problem I have is oil dripping on the cap when I’m pouring the oil. That’s easy enough to wipe up before storing the bottle. The plastic bottle is recyclable so when you’re finished, just rinse it out and recycle it with your other number one plastics.

The label on the bottle has the company name, a certified organic stamp, and the product name on the front. In the background is an image of a dewy, wet, naked torso and a small part of a woman’s breast. It’s not overtly sexual, but it is sensual and suggestive, so it may not be a bottle you want to keep out if you have little ones running around. The back of the bottle has the ingredients list, information about the product, and instructions.

I love this massage oil. It smells wonderful and performs beautifully. Even though it’s a small bottle for the price, you really don’t need a lot to give a great massage. I love the fact that it contains certified organic extracts and doesn’t just claim to be “natural” like some other body products (I’m looking at you, Dona). If you’re looking for a fantastic vegan massage oil, I’d highly recommend this massage oil from Intimate Organics.
