Aromatherapy massage oil by Intimate Organics - review by So Long Ya Doofuses!

Grapefruit and Pepper?! It's Actually Wonderful!

Don't let the black pepper fool you! The Grapefruit & Black Pepper variety of this massage oil is a pleasant mix of bright citrus with just the tiniest hint of oomph needed to take the grapefruit essence to the next level.
Vibrant citrus scent, smooth, absorbs nicely
Pricey, scent might not be ideal for all

This massage oil is meant to be used externally and rubbed into the skin through massage or any form of rubbing one might choose. However, this is not a sexual lubricant, nor is it water-based, so it should not be used on genitalia. Likewise, it should not be consumed even if it does smell good enough to eat.

As with most massage oils, this one is slick and not thick at all, making it ideal for rubbing all over one's body. It pours out and applies on smoothly without feeling too greasy. Fortunately, neither stickiness nor tackiness are an issue with this particular oil.

Taste / Aroma

Grapefruit and black pepper; this is not a combination one hears of often, if ever. Out of the three scents of Intimate Organics massage oil to choose from on this website, this one that is probably the least demanded. (This is, in fact, currently the first and only review written for this scent in particular.) One need only look at the name to figure out why. Many people are turned off by the idea of possibly smelling like a pepper grinder/fruit salad love child. However, these suspicions are not true in the least bit when it comes to this massage oil.
The dominant scent, and probably the only scent most people will pick up on, is grapefruit. The smell is fresh and tangy just like a newly cut grapefruit. Upon smelling it, one might not even believe there is any pepper in this oil. What the pepper does, then, is give the citrus more body without being overpowering at all. That being said, the grapefruit scent is very much present and could be a bit overpowering for those with an acute sense of smell.

This massage oil lasts long enough to get a good rubdown with, yet it absorbs into the skin well enough that it does not get sticky. The scent will stay for a little bit, but no more than a few hours. If need be, it could be washed off with water and soap before it gets completely absorbed, but the scent might linger underneath the soap of choice. How long this 4oz bottle will last a person depends greatly on how and when it is; it could take anywhere from several weeks to several months.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely

Thanks for sharing! I was wondering about this scent because it is an odd combination.
