Classic scent for sensual massage

The Kama Sutra Sensual Massage Oil is a high quality scented oil to be used for massage, body moisturizing, or masturbation. It is strongly scented, and the scent that I tried out was Sweet Almond, which I would highly recommend. This scent is Kama Sutra's signature scent, as they tend to include this one in their gift packages and kits. This oil will be of use to any couple that wants to incorporate massage into their lives.

The ingredients include: Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Pistacia Vera Seed Oil, C 12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Fragance (Parfum), Tocopheryl Acetate, Lecithin, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Benzoate, Citronellol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool

The almond scent is authentic and not artificially created, so this could present a problem for someone with nut allergies. Be sure to carefully check ingredients against any known allergies that you have.

The oil is of medium thickness and low viscosity. It has a pleasant slip in the hands but, for an oil, does not feel overly greasy. It pours from the bottle very easily and the bottle stays clean. I found that it soaked into the skin nicely. One need only use a small amount to achieve a fine affect. Even if you use a bit too much, however, you will find that it still soaks in after being rubbed for several minutes. The scent lingers in the air during use, which is very nice.

The Sweet Almond scent is my favorite of all of the Kama Sutra oils. I've tried 4 others (via small sampler pack), and always wanted to come back to this one. Think of a slightly headier, deeper version of almond extract, and you'll be on the right track. I appreciate that actual sweet almond oil is used instead of any artificial scents. The aroma really lingers in the air during use. This product is not meant to be tasted or used internally, so I did not taste it.

The oil kept the skin slick during a massage for 10-15 minutes. It can be easily reapplied as needed. It does soak into the skin, but that is a benefit. It means that by the time you are done massaging and ready to move onto other activities, your sheets won't get covered in the oil! It does linger on the skin after use. Because it is an oil, soap and water are required to clean it off. I always leave it on my skin because it is sweet smelling and moisturizing. It does wash off easily if you need to shower it off before it soaks completely into the skin, or wears off on its own.

My partner and I also use this as an oil to prepare the skin for fire cupping. If oil is applied first, it makes moving the cups around on the back much easier and changes the sensation. We tested it for flammability in advance (just to be extra safe), and found that it was safe to use and worked very well. Having a sensual massage before fire cupping was wonderful!

The oil came shipped in a plastic bag. The bottle was not taped shut. However, there is a foil seal, so there was no leakage of any type.





The packaging is a pretty, romantic design. For sensual products, the presentation is almost as important as the contents, and Kama Sutra always does a fine job at this. This oil used to be packaged in a frosted plastic bottle, but now it comes in slick, clear plastic. I did somewhat prefer the look of the old bottles.
