Elegant, seductive, just a little drippy

This product works well for massages, covering the skin with a light slipperiness that lasts through at least 10-15 minutes of massage before needing to be re-applied. It can also be used as a moisturizer, as long as you don't mind the lingering feeling of a bit of oil on your skin.

Ono should not be used as a lube, however. As I read in a women’s health magazine once, “Don’t put it in your vagina if it can run your car”. The issue with using oils internally is that there's a risk of trapping bacteria.

Oils can also degrade latex condoms (not polyurethane condoms), so even if you’re not planning to use the massage oil directly as a lube, bear this in mind if you’re going to be in any situation where the oil might come into contact with a latex condom. Especially given the runny consistency of this product, it would be easy for it to slip into crevices if not sparingly applied.

Even though I had read that this product is runny, I was surprised at just *how* runny it really is. It flows more quickly than olive oil, for example. It's very difficult to pour out of the tube, you have to move very swiftly to tip the tube over and back up again before the entire contents rush out.

The lightness of the oil does make it nice for massaging with. It's slippery, but not so much so that there's any difficulty grasping and working muscles. It does not feel sticky at all. Once you start massaging with it, the oil stays in place well. As noted above, you can get a decent amount of massage in before needing to re-apply.

The vanilla scent is warm and enticing, a very earthy, sexy kind of vanilla (perhaps the jojoba contributes to this). You can smell it when it's on your skin and when you're rubbing it into your partner's skin, but you can't smell it from across the room. This natural, non-perfumey scent lingers on the skin for a while after application (perhaps an hour).

This is an external-use only product, so you shouldn't really be tasting it, but if you do happen to get a tiny taste (e.g. when kissing your partner's skin), you'll find that it doesn't taste strongly at all.

Ono takes quite a while to absorb entirely into the skin. This is helpful when massaging with it, but it does leave a lingering feeling of wearing a bit of oil on your skin afterwards. Similarly, if using it as a moisturizer, bear in mind that it's not the same as a quick-absorbing lotion. Personally, being a person with some problem skin (dryness, psoriasis), I find the benefits of oils outweigh the small inconvenience of having slightly oily skin for a while afterwards.

This product is easily washed off with soap, and the natural oils (jojoba, grapeseed, apricot) are said to be easier to wash out of sheets than more synthetic products. We have not seen any issue with staining of clothes or sheets so far.

The choice of a squeeze tube for runny oil is bizarre. It's very difficult to pour the oil out without spilling it. However, I do like the graphic design on the tube and outer paper box that it comes in. It looks chic and modern sitting on a bedside table or bathroom vanity.
