ONO! It leaks!

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to Lelo's Flickering Touch Massage oil, look elsewhere. This may be similar and made by the same company, but it is nothing like what you would expect from a company like Lelo. This oil is cheap, waxy, and smells terrible. Save your pennies and try the original.

Use

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to Lelo's Flickering Touch Massage Oil trio... You need to try the original first. Lelo's ONO Pleasure Massage Oil is made with similar ingredients (without the lovely gold flakes) and a cheaper package. But, it is nothing like the original. As far as massage oils go, this is pretty poor quality. It is too thin and runny, and smells waxy like cheap crayons.

Ingredients: Prunus armeniaca (apricot) kernel oil, vitis vinifera (grape seed) oil, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, perfume (citrol, d-limonene).

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

If you aren't paying attention when you flip open the cap, half of the oil will have spilled everywhere leaving a huge greasy stain. It pours like water and leaves your skin feeling clogged and heavy.

If you managed to get some on your partner without drowning them, you're off to a good start! Rub, rub, rub it in. It doesn't absorb into the skin no matter how much it gets massaged in. It just sits on your skin like greasy candle wax.

Taste / Aroma

I ordered the French vanilla and jojoba scent. It doesn't smell like either of those. It was a faint smell, but it smelled like wax. Specifically, like crayons. This is all my partner and I could smell. The crayon scent got stronger the more it was massaged in. It was a disappointment.

We had to go wash it off with dish soap because our usual body wash didn't remove all of the oil.

Performance

This product was a dud.

The bottle leaks from where the cap is poorly sealed to the bottle and the hole in the cap is far too large for a runny product like oil. The smell was enough to make me never want to use Lelo's ONO Massage Oil again.

The oil itself was thin and watery. It spilled everywhere and couldn't be massaged in no matter how much we tried working it in. It did not want to be absorbed at all. It sat on our skin feeling heavy, greasy, sticky... almost like it was much thicker and waxier than it was.

Normal body wash couldn't get all of the oil off in the shower, we ended up having to use a Dawn dish soap to get it all off. It left my shower a slick death trap which had to be washed out with Dawn in the morning.

The morning after, I noticed that my back and shoulders where the oil had been rubbed in was covered in zits. Yuck! Never again!

Packaging

The packaging was simple, pretty. Something that you would expect from Lelo. When it was opened, the tube was sticky and oil was coming out of the seam where the cap was attached to the tube. When the cap was flipped open, there was a tamper proof foil seal.

The bottle is easily opened with one hand, but you need to keep it perfectly upright when the seal or cap is removed or the oil will pour everywhere.

Follow-up commentary
There wasn't very much to like about this massage oil. The bottle leaked, so it was placed in a plastic Ziplock baggie to keep it from making a mess. Our ONO massage oil completely leaked out within a day of our first use into the plastic baggie. It was thrown away with no second thoughts. It will not be reordered.

Yuck. I hated their massage candle, so I'm not surprised about the oil. Thanks for the review.
