Indulge eau de parfum - perfume discontinued by Cake Beauty - review by cbmb716

At work I deal with a lot of different cosmetics, skin care products, and fragrances from the top designers and companies in the industry, but the Indulge eau de parfume from Cake Beauty is one of my favorite fragrances, above all those big name designers. Indulge combines light floral fragrances with yummy vanilla and warm ginger bread notes, for an over all tantalizing fragrance experience. It is exactly what it sounds like. It is almost like you are "indulging" in a warm and spicy piece of ginger bread cake with creamy vanilla frosting, without all of the caloric guilt!

I gave the Indulge perfume to almost every female friend and family member I have as well as some coworkers as Christmas gifts this past year and everyone, absolutely, fell in love with the fragrance. It is different than anything I can think of that is on the fragrance market today. It comes in a beautiful pink box and the frosted bottle with hot pink writing looks stunning on the top of any dresser or makeup vanity.

The only two things I have a problem with are the price and the size. You are paying $47.99 for a tiny 1.7 fluid ounce bottle. I really wish this came in a 3.4 fluid ounce or maybe even a 4.2 fluid ounce option. This bottle is about the size of a typical computer mouse including the sprayer. If you use this parfume every day, then you will be out in no time and the price makes re-purchasing this product sting a little bit.

The scent itself is fabulous. It isn't too sweet nor too spicy and you get just the right amount of fragrance with just a spray or two to your pulse points (fragrance wears better if you put it on the pulse points of your body such as your wrists, neck, and the backs of your knees- more great places to make your scent last include hip bones, chest, behind your ears, and the small of your back). I have to be careful when buying fragrances for myself because I tend to get headaches with some scents, especially after working around them all day long at my job. Cake's Indulge fragrance is a scent that does not mess with my nose, my eyes, or my head. This is also a great scent to wear anywhere! You can wear it to a casual setting, or it spices up more formal situations as well! The small 1.7 fluid ounce bottle also travels very well!

The last thing I love about Indulge is the fact that it is a parfume! Parfumes are oil based whereas eau deo toilette's are alcohol based. The oil bases stay on the skin longer than the alcohol bases so your skin will keep the scent longer and you will not have to use as much of the oil based parfumes as you will the alcohol based toilette's making your bottle last that much longer!

Cake should really consider coming out with a whole Indulge bath and body set complete with shower gel, body powder, lotion, etc. I would definitely add them to my Cake Indulge collection. The lotions used in tandem with the eau de parfume would make your scent last even longer and lay more richly on your skin! YUM!
