Indulge eau de parfum - perfume discontinued by Cake Beauty - review by Eva Schwaltz

I’m a perfume junky so I was going to have to check out the Indulge from Cake Beauty at some point. A lot of workplaces are fazing out unnecessary fragrances, but this is one that will last all day. The scent is quite noticeable at first, but becomes more subtle as time goes on. All you need is just one spray.

The ingredients are: Alcohol Denat, Fragrance (Parfum), Water/Aqua/Eau.

Not all of the fragrances are listed, so this is not for the person who is sensitive to a lot of ingredients, especially floral aromas.

The perfume is a liquid inside the bottle, but it sprays a mist which dries up right away. It feels cold when sprayed but that’s because of the alcohol. If you don’t like the scent, you can just wash the area with soap and water and most, but not all, of the scent will dissipate.

Here’s the thing, I have a top five list of scents that I love, and it’s almost impossible to crack that list (only two of which are among the pricier fragrances, so I’m really not that difficult to impress). This fragrance is nice, but it will never be my favourite.

It reminds me of vanilla coffee. Mind you, there’s no coffee smell to it, but it smells not as sweet as plain vanilla if that makes sense. I can pick out hints of roses and lilies, it’s really quite pleasant.

I didn’t expect a scent that would last. The scent from the body lotion from the same company phased out within an hour so I thought the perfume would have the same meagre performance. It lasts a long longer than even some of the top brands so I applaud them for that.

I would pick this as an evening out or special occasion type of fragrance, but others may love it to be their morning boost.

The little circular glass bottle holds 50 ml of fragrance, so for $48 it’s more on the affordable end of perfumes. It comes packaged like most perfumes in a cardboard box, making it nice for gifting.
