Organic lip balm - lip balm discontinued by Evolution of Smooth - review by CASpookygirl

I have been known to love 'em and leave 'em when it comes to my lip balms, and I have quite a collection of Mr. Right Now's that didn't make the cut to Mr. Right. This lip balm may just make an honest woman out of me.

Let's start with the basics. I expect my lip balm to feel good on my lips, to make my lips feel good to others, and, lastly, to smell and taste good. This lip balm does all of these things. It goes on smoothly, and leaves my lips feeling baby soft. I have the lemon version, and it has a light pleasing lemon scent and flavor, but not so much that you find yourself licking it off of your lips all the time. There is always the inherent dangers with lemon scented products that they are going to have the lemon Pledge lemon taste and smell, but no fear, this lemon taste and smell are just perfect! I find that I don't have to reapply this balm nearly as often as I do with others, and the softness lasts. This balm sports an SPF of 15.

It comes in several flavors, including Sweet Mint (which I want to try next!), Strawberry Sorbet, and Summer Fruit, among others.

Some have made comment about the packaging and, while it is a bit odd, it has some advantages. It is an egg shaped container that screws closed. This really helps to keep it from accidentally coming open in the bottom of your bag, but it does make it awkward to carry in your pocket, as it leaves a very noticeable lump. I think the fact that the lid stays on securely (a pet peeve of mine about some lip balms) makes the packaging just right.

This lip balm is made with certified organic materials, certified organic by Oregon Tilth, and is paraben and petroleum free.

This is still by far my favorite of all my lip balms, and I love that it is lasting for a while. I hate it when I fall in love with a lip balm, and it gets used up too fast. This is long lasting in the egg and on the lips.
