Organic lip balm - lip balm discontinued by Evolution of Smooth - review by misskat

This is the eos organic lip balm and it is amazing. I am one of those people who has to have chapstick or lip balm at all time and I have definitely become an eos convert.

It comes in a hard plastic egg shaped container that is flat on the bottom so it can sit without rolling around.

It also has a flat spot on one side to grip it while you twist open.

It opens in the middle of the egg.
I originally thought I wouldn't like this shape because it's bigger and bulkier than a traditional lip balm. It has proven to be perfect though, because it's easy to grab off my nightstand and VERY easy to find in my purse, carry-on etc.

I love it because it is very moisturizing and soothes chapped lips, but is thin and not gloppy or sticky.

When you've worn it down even with the base, you can then use it like a lip balm and apply with your finger instead of trying to scrape little bits of chapstick out of the tube--so there is no wasted product. Truly well thought out.

I also use it on my fingers around my nails when my cuticles get rough. My partner uses mine regularly and he does not think the flavors are too "girly" and loves that they are not sticky/ shiny/ sparkly.

eos prides itself on natural products. I do not buy organic products exclusively, but knowing that these aren't chockful of artificial ingredients is nice.

I have tried all the flavors and strawberry sorbet is my favorite. Eden has Tangerine, Honeysuckle, Summer Fruit, Strawberry Sorbet, Sweet Mint and Lemon for sale on their site.

I highly recommend them.

I was obsessed with this, as you can see if you read my original review. I got every flavor and it worked for me for months. Then, out of the blue, it started making my lips peel. I have never had an adverse reaction to any lip product before so I do not know if it was a particular ingredient or combination or what.

I used regular chapstick for a while, thinking maybe my lips had just gotten very chapped while working outside. They healed, and I used the eos balm for two days before my lips starting peeling again (mind you, my lips had not gotten chapped, I was just trying to give this balm the benefit of the doubt).

I have discontinued the use of these balms all together and have not had a problem since.
