Antibacterial toy cleaner - cleansing mist by Doc Johnson - review by Mont

Like many other toy enthusiasts, the last thing I want to do after some fun is make a trip to the bathroom or kitchen sink to clean off whatever I've used. Keeping this toy cleaner in my toybox is a super convenient way for me to give my toys a good clean up when I don't want to take things out of the bedroom.

This bottle is pretty discreet. The only hint for what it is used for is the label "Toy cleaner" in big letters, but there is no mention of "adult" or "sex" toys. You can likely store this somewhere in your bathroom if you don't want to keep it in your bedroom, and not have to feel too worried that guests will scrutinize the labeling. There are instructions for use on the visible label, and this label can be peeled back for further instructions and a full ingredients list.

Two or so sprays seems enough to coat small toys, three or four for medium or larger toys. This 4 oz bottle will last a decent amount of time considering how inexpensive it is. With how little a few sprays seemed to use up, I can see this lasting many months for me. Once applied to your toy, you can either wipe it off, or let it air dry. Both methods left no residue or noticeable product behind, just a faint scent. However, this product doesn't really replace a good wipe down. I don't think just spraying a toy and letting it air dry will remove fluids from the surface. You are probably going to want to actually wipe any toys that come in contact with bodily fluids.

I was very surprised by the scent. I was expecting this to smell like a cleaning product or nothing at all, but it actually has a very pleasant cologne smell. This smell lingered on the toys that I did not do a quick wipe-over with a damp cloth after spraying. It is not unpleasant, but I'm going to have to wipe my toys down with a cloth if I don't want all my toys to smell faintly like men's cologne.

I'm happy that this cleaner is glycerin and paraben free. It also doesn't contain anything that will hurt your toys, unlike some antibacterial products not specifically made for adult toys. Triclosan, an ingredient found in many store bought sanitizers, is the antibacterial agent in this cleaner,

I typically keep moist sanitary wipes in my toybox for toys and body, but these are not antibacterial. Spraying my toys with a little of this toy cleaner, and then wiping them down with the moist wipes I have, allows me to clean and sanitize toys quickly with an antibacterial product, without having to ever leave my room. This is definitely more convenient than going to the kitchen and wetting a towel with water and adding a bit of antibacterial soap. Some toys of mine, particularly anal toys, need a deeper cleaning than this, but this method works for an "in the meantime" way to clean off these toys. I can put off a thorough cleaning until I'm not enjoying my post orgasm bliss, or even the next morning, and not feel too guilty.
