Anti bacterial toy cleaner - toy cleanser by Doc Johnson - review by Terwilliger

Neither here nor there

It has its uses, and may be worth it for travel. But it's not entirely worth the expense when water and a little soap can do equally as well if not better.
Simple spray
easy to use
good for travel
Might require additional cleaning

This cleaner works and does what it says, but it's nothing particularly special. I initially tested this out on new and clean toys; I like to clean them right out of package when I get them. I was surprised the directions only mentioned to let air dry or wipe with a cloth - to me it was a little iffy when cleaning something like this. Many of the cleaners I've had recommended to air dry then do a quick rinse. I opted for a rinse after noticing that the cleaner leaves behind a residue - like when soap isn't properly rinsed off of dishes. Even an extra rinse isn't always sufficient to remove the cleaner.

I tested in on a few new toys, two smooth and soft silicon, and a Pyrex. One spray was enough for the glass as it spread well over that material. Other softer, or tackier surfaces, seemed to need more. Unfortunately, the difference between each spray can easily drench your toy making it hard to dry and rinse (the direction warns against this, so I should have had a duh moment)

Keeping to one or two sprays seemed to help, still rinsing afterward, but for some of my toys one spray wasn't sufficient for the whole toy. They're not particularly big or anything, they just happen to have more than one side -hey, I like to cover my bases. But I found a good medium of use, so it wasn't a huge loss.

I used the whole bottle as I don't like to waste, but I probably won't be buying this spray again. I prefer boiling water or body-safe homemade soaps and a cloth. They're simpler, easier, and seem to be a bit more efficient than this spray. But you get a lot for what you pay and it had it's uses; I took it with me camping when I was going to be far from hot water and good soap.
