Flickering touch massage candle by LELO - review by AbbyS

I purchased this candle in the Black Pepper Pomegranate scent. It comes in a black box with an instruction booket. It also has a foam-like cover inside the candle.

I was a little hesitant since black pepper isn't known to smell wonderful, but I was very plesantly surprised. The aroma is not too strong. But we could still smell the aroma the next day. Lelo advertises the candle to burn for 36 hours. I haven't used a full candle yet, but I can imagine that the 36 hour estimate is probably accurate. This candle is soy based.

It doesn't turn into a pool of wax immediately. The first time we used it, we only gave it about twenty minutes and that was nowhere near enough wax. I would let it burn at least thirty minutes before using because that will be a more even burn. Pouring it can be very messy. We put a paper plate in our toy box so that when using it doesn't get all over my nightstand again.

The massage oil itself is wonderful. It's not too greasy or waxy in my opinion. It felt wonderful in fact. I especially enjoyed the feeling of it on my breasts and ass.

As for making a mess on the bed, we have a small comforter that we use when we anticipate messy sex and we used that when we used it because I didn't want oil spots on my sheets. I didn't see any huge greasy spots on my "sex comforter" though.

After using, I didn't find myself picking off little pieces of wax from my body. I also didn't shower because the oil dried fairly quick. I didn't have any kind of skin reaction or rash and I have somewhat sensitive skin. It is meant to be used externally only! It's not perfect, but it's fun and very sensual!
