Pour some sugar on me

Milk Made Sugar Scrub by Cake is simply amazing. It works really well, and exfoliates skin I didn't even realize needed exfoliating! It goes on rough and washes away like melting sugar and oil: smooth and slick! I would highly recommend this scrub to anyone looking for a real scrub that is grainy. Get ready to exfoliate.

Use

Milk Made Smoothing White Sugar Scrub is a fantastic exfoliating scrub for the shower. It is a sugar based scrub that is great for exfoliating dry summer skin. With its a large container size, it is ideal for everyone in need!

This scrub would make an excellent gift for friend or family, but I will personally be keeping it for myself! I would personally recommend using it only two to three times a week, only because it does its job so well. Those with more delicate skin will probably prefer using this only once in a while for a spa day.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This is a serious scrub, not to be played around with. When I first opened the jar I thought I had met my match. This stuff looks as serious as it exfoliates.

What I mean is the texture is not for the faint of heart.. or skin! It is made with real, grainy sugar! It is therefore thick and can seem harsh, but will ultimately leave your skin soft.

There is a component of oil to it as well, which will require a little bit of a stir when you open the jar at first. The oil does not feel greasy or sticky.

This feels mainly like rough sugar against your skin. Some people will not like it for that reason. When I first tried some in the shower, I thought it was too tough on my skin. However, when I began to rinse the granules off, I was amazed at the soft skin and conditioning oils.

Taste / Aroma

While it is made of sugar, I would not recommend eating this milk made scrub!

It does smell like an edible kitchen treat though. It smells faintly of milk, sugar, coconut and a little bit of citrus. It is not overwhelming, and it will not interfere with your perfume. It is subtle and quite nice.

I did look at the bottle for some indication of flavor, but I could not find anything indicative. To me, this scrub smells exactly like its ingredients.

Performance

Milk Made Sugar Scrub is flat-out amazing. It works wonders and will last you quite a while. Using only two small dollops will cover your body (give or take two more dollops depending on how generous you are with your scrubs). This scrub will soften even the toughest of skin, given you are committed to using it every time you shower. Those with more delicate skin can even benefit by adding this to their shower routine every other bath time!

I will definitely be buying another jar when I eventually finish this 21oz tub! Worth every penny, highly recommended!
    • Absorbs into skin nicely

Packaging

Milk Made Sugar Scrub is made by Cake, and its packaging is simple, yet informative and effective. The tub is quite heavy (which makes me happy since I know they do not skimp on product). You get a nice 21 oz.

The ingredients also pass my inspection, as they are on the more natural side and there are no parabens:
Sucrose, caprylic capric tryglycerides, parfum, butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, cocoa seed butter, phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol, sorbic acid, tocopehryl acetate, water (aqua), hydrolyzed milk protein

The triglycerides are fats that help moisturize skin. The sucrose is self-explanatory as this is a granulated sugar scrub.

Overall, those with allergies to sugar, milk, shea, and coconut should stay away. Otherwise, lather up and indulge!

Hm, not sure if I want this one now....thanks for the details.

Just a note: I say only to use it 2-3 times a week because you don't want to over-exfoliate and irritate/redden/deaden new skin cells. Be kind to your skin! You might be tempted to use this every day twice a day!
