Edible body powder - edible powder discontinued by Body Candy - review by K101

The Edible Body Powder is designed more for used between a couple rather than for solo play. It's a nice, tasty addition to foreplay!



The container actually has absolutely no information on it except for a sticker that says "Edble Body Powder" and "Candy Explosion". There aren't any ingredients listed and it came with no papers or additional information. You get a bottle of candy, it does not come with a duster or anything for applying the candy. While this doesn't cause the clitoris to swell in delight, it does make for a pretty romantic and even erotic adventure!

Luckily after quite a bit of search, I did find the makers of Edible Body Powder's information. Here is what I've gathered:

1. You get 5.5 0z of "delight" although the product page here, says 4 fl oz.
2. The body candies are made in the US and are made from Food Grade Quality Ingredients.
3. "Body Candy Leaves no aftertaste and is completely scrumptious."
4. All Body Candy Powders come with a seal for freshness and a "handy dual spout."
Unfortunately, I am unable to find any information on any of Body Candy's product ingredients besides on Eden. Strangely, the company's site does not contain any more information than what I listed above on the product. I'm pretty positive that it's just crushed smarties. In fact, I done a little testing to see.
I'll answer those questions in a minute. Here's what EF has listed under ingredients:

This Edible Body Powder is clearly meant for tasting only, not for using as a regular body powder or anything else. It's a simple bottle of crushed candy for skin application. It is not a body powder for softening the skin.

A very important thing I want to note: Do not use on the genitals! This is a crushed candy so it's bound to be yeast infection central for anyone prone to them. There are plenty of other sexy, erotic surfaces to lick and kiss this off of.

Whew! Now that all those details are out of the way, we can get down to the tasty, tasty! Sorry for the lame-ness.


Edible Body Powder is a fine chopped candy. You can even see little crystals sparkling away in the powder. These pretty crystal candies do not show up on skin. There is no glow, shimmer or sparkle to the skin. It actually isn't easy to apply this to other body parts besides the back, stomach, butt and chest (if lying down.) The reason this is hard to apply is because it makes one hell of a mess and when your pooch smells the delicious, sweet mess that's spilled onto your bed, he's gonna be in for a sweet tooth overload. Here's why...

For one, the container is exactly one that spices come in. I'm actually convinced that at one time, this container sat atop a Wal-Mart shelf with a spice inside and later was cleaned and re-used for Body Candy. The container does have a seal on it though. The lid is just like a spice lid. It has two sides, similar to a salt shaker or spice container. One side has a few holes for sprinkling and the other is one big hole for, I guess dumping it on? Either way, there's no way to avoid a mess unless you directly sprinkle onto your soon-to-be-tasty-treat's stomach, back or butt. Tilting the container and tapping lightly with a finger will give you a good bit of sprinkles, tap again for more. We prefer using it this way and directly onto each other's parts so there isn't candy everywhere. I suppose if you're sweet tooth is out of control, you might use the big hole for dumping.

This is easy to pour out, but the little lids on each side are hard to open. I bent a nail back trying to open it. At least it's safely shut inside and doesn't leak! The lid can be screwed off as well, but I don't even want to risk that kind of mess!

This is a little tough to explain, but the Body Powder feels just like crushed smarties. While the powder is very fine, you still feel grit when you rub. It doesn't go on like a body powder. It's soft, but doesn't penetrate the skin or anything like that. It falls right off and doesn't rub in. With some rubbing it will spread, but it leaves a layer of white dust on your skin and when I tried it on my legs, they look super dry! He licked them anyways and it wasn't exactly a turn off, but could've been a bit better.

When I got the Powder I was sure it would leave me sticky after applying and especially after licking, but surprisingly, it didn't leave a noticeable residue or anything detectable behind.

I love tasty body products, but almost always end up somewhat disappointed in the end. It's hard to find an edible body product that tates good and doesn't leave a nasty aftertaste. I did expect at least a bad taste from this, but it actually taste just like candy.

When it got here, we all had to taste it! I said it taste like Smarties and our 12 year old said Sweet Tarts. My partner said "I don't know, but it's delicious," then stuck his fingers in and nearly drank the stuff. When I couldn't find information on the ingredients we took a trip to the dollar store for a little investigation and got Smarties and Sweet Tarts, crushed them both up and tasted them. We all agreed it was crushed Smarties. It even looked exactly the same when crushed! The color is a subtle pink, white in dark lighting.


So if you like Smarties, this might be exactly what you want in a Body Powder. Personally, I can't get enough of the powder! It has only a subtle aroma that just smells sweet. This leaves no nasty residue or aftertaste at all. The taste is very sweet, but not strong. It's not too sweet for me, but if you wouldn't enjoy crushed Smarties then this might not be the most delicious thing you'll ever lick from a body. If you're like me and eat the powdered sugar from the bottom of the powdered donut bag, you'll more than likely love this!

There are a couple of things that I don't love about the Body Candy Powder, but as far as performance goes, I'm pretty happy. My partner and I both love the taste. It's better than our other edible products, but I don't like that it falls off everywhere. I wish there was a way to rub it in some so it will stay where we want it. That's nothing I can knock stars for though because taste and performance wise, it met our expectations.

One thing I am super happy with, besides the taste, is that my partner can give me a full body rub with this without the need of a shower. I'm extremely sensitive to any kind of substance left on my body, unless it feels smooth and silky with no residue what so ever. I did not expect this to be an easy clean up, but it actually couldn't be easier. He usually licks most of it off and it doesn't leave me sticky. If there happens to be some left over I dust it off or use a wet wash cloth. Dusting it off works just fine, but it will get on clothing. Just like powdered sugar or flour would show up on clothing, this does the same. It can be rubbed away, but I prefer keeping clothing away from this when using.

Depending on whether you sprinkle or dump, this will either last long enough for a full body lick or just enough for a full body kiss. My partner does both. 4-5 taps to the bottle, using the sprinkle lid, is plenty to cover my entire butt and back. The powder does last for a long time, unless you wake up for a midnight snack and down some of it.

The packaging is minimal. It's a simple spice bottle with the two lids for either sprinkling or pouring large amounts. It's clear and is 4 fl oz. The bottle's cap screws on and off as well and it does have a safety seal. It will not leak if tossed in a purse or drawer which is a major plus for us. If you're planning a romantic vacation, this is discrete enough to travel along.

The bottle of powder came in a simple plastic bag with no instructions or directions and not even a list of ingredients. There are only things on the entire bottle and they are stickers. One sticker is decorated with hearts and a mouth with a piece of candy in it. It says " Edible Body Powder" "Body Candy" and "Candy Explosion." The sticker is small and right on the front of the bottle.

Like I mentioned before, the snap lids are not easy to flip open. It takes a few tries for me and hurts my fingers. Others may have stronger fingers and have no problem. I have to use two hands and apply pressure. It is easy to dispense though and if using the side with a big hole, you will have a pile of the powder. The product is messy since it doesn't stay on, you need to sprinkle directly on the body, but if it does get on the bed it won't leave it sticky or stained.

The other sticker is located at the very bottom of the bottle and just has a bar code and a number. I do think a list of ingredients should be included. The packaging looks very "home-made" which really doesn't bother me. I think it's cute. Some are very picky about packaging though.

I was almost jumping with joy when I seen that the package is so discrete. It does say "Edible Body Powder" but that's really nothing that screams sex. There's no nudity or trashy text!

One of my first thoughts was 'this would be a perfect gift!'.

The Body Candy doesn't add to pleasure or increase sensations. It doesn't add sparkle or glitter to the skin.

UPDATE:
As mentioned in the review, there were no signs of an ingredient list. I've spoken with Body Candy though and the reason for the lack of label and ingredient list is due to the labels with "the FDA labelling have not arrived yet." I just thought I would clear up the confusion or concern anyone might have with the Body Candy products. Soon they will have the complete label for the products. As for now though, they sent me a sample of what the label will look like so here goes:

I've been looking around for an edible body powder or lotion for some time and bought a hot caramel massage oil a week ago and didn't like it so I was excited to try this. The hot caramel massage oil was nice, but extremely expensive and too messy for regular use. It didn't do much for me and the taste wasn't so special.

I was actually surprised at how great the Body Powder tasted and didn't leave a mess. When I first tasted it I said "Oh my gosh, this is smells and tastes delicious." It does! My partner immediately wanted to spread it all over and kiss away! It's just perfect for a little bit of romance before foreplay. Using it all over the body, front and back makes an erotic experience. Also a few drops of water will help it stick and make it easier to rub around. I had the idea of adding an edible lubricant to turn it into an edible massage, but I've yet to find a decent edible lubricant that would ruin the taste. It is something worthy of a try though.

My partner and I are really excited to use the powder. I didn't expect to have such a thrilling experience with it, but we even have another night planned tomorrow with this tasty stuff!

I definitely recommend this to couples who enjoy spending extra time on each other's body parts!

Now, I don't like the price tag. It is very high for a simple bottle of crushed Smarties. You can actually make your own edible body powder for so much cheaper. I think it should at least come with a feather or something for applying. I just couldn't see myself paying for this instead of making it myself. It is a wonderful way to add romantic, erotic adventure to play, but it could have at least came with an application brush. We both are crazed about this stuff, but instead of purchasing again, I believe I'm going to go for A Touch Of Honey and try it instead since the price is cheaper and it has an application puff.

If you have your own feather tickler, break it out with this powder. It adds extra sensations to the kissing and licking.
