Terme, Terme, Terme: Do you love me?

Terme Hair Conditioner leaves my lady's hair smelling floral, but not overpowering. She has very thick hair and this does not have a sticky or stiff feeling to it. She blow dries her hair and tells me that this conditioner protects more from heat damage. I also used and liked this, but I would prefer if it were less feminine in scent and appearance.
Leaves hair moisturized and healthy
Cuts down on split ends
Small size
High price
Not geared towards men

Hair conditioner is meant to be used after shampooing your hair. If you need directions, you probably shouldn't be reading this review! Basically, shampoo and rinse your hair (repeat). Step 2: Squeeze out as much water as you can. Step 3: Apply a small palmful of conditioner to your hair. All conditioners I have used say to pay special attention to massaging the ends of your hair. The end of each hair shaft is older and is more susceptible to damage (dry, split ends and broken-off hairs). Also, conditioner is designed for your hair and not the hair follicles. Step 4: Rinse, rinse and rinse with warm water until you are satisfied that all traces of conditioner are gone, gone, gone!

Oddly enough, I have found out about another use for hair conditioner. My lady uses it as a shaving cream for her legs and under her arms also. It provides a slippery background for her to drag a sharp (always use sharp blades--you will be much safer than with a dull blade) razor along her sexy legs. Her legs feel nice and soft, the cut is close and she says she can eliminate using body lotion right after shaving. It prevents that stinging feeling when she applies creams or lotions immediately after shaving. She likes to shave in the shower, so it is easy to rinse everything off when done.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This has the thickness of a body lotion and is probably the thickest hair conditioner either of us have used. It is white and has an opalescent look to it. It is for your hair and how many of you actually examine their shampoo/conditioner? Suffice it to say that it feels and smells awesome when used. Both of our heads of hair shined, shined, shined and were soft, soft, soft. I was able to take a comb to it shortly after using and I felt no resistance. Not only that, but I didn't have a single tangle to work out. There was no sticky, tacky or greasy feeling. Even after 3 days, my hair felt clean and looked shiny. Many conditioners have left a residue behind, so I am pleased with the clean feeling this leaves behind.

Taste / Aroma

This smells like pure awesomeness. It has a fresh aroma of both flowers and vanilla. It is not over-powering and leaves your hair with a light, lingering scent. I tell my lady that she smells like a cupcake with flowers on top. That is a nice compliment and all she says back is "Thank you". I don't think I need to say this, but I did not taste this because it is not made to be consumed. I would tell you not to drink this stuff down, but please use as directed! Again, if I have to tell you that, well, maybe this isn't the stuff for you!

In a word: GREAT! I have personally used the Terme Tresses Conditioner 3 times now. I wish it came in a larger size and I wish it were less expensive. Twenty six dollars for only 12 ounces is kind of up there on the price spectrum. One thing I have been doing is using this every other time I shampoo (alternating with a less expensive drugstore brand). I shampoo twice a week, so I expect this to last awhile. I use about 1 to 2 tablespoons with each application. I will continue to use the Terme Tresses Conditioner and once we see how many applications I get from the conditioner, I may switch to using it with every shampooo. I really like it enough to splurge on, especially for my lady.

This comes in a sturdy, soft plastic bottle with a flip top cap that also screws off if you prefer that kind of cap. It comes out very easily; if you have used any conditioners for your hair, you will recognize this as being pretty standard.

The labeling is really pretty. It is nice and feminine; pink and white. It gives you the ingredients and basic directions. It is manufactured in Italy.

Special Features

On the flip side, there are chemicals listed in the ingredients, but none of them sound alarms or concern me. Since my hair feels so nice after using this, I am confident about continuing to use it. If you have had any allergic reactions to the ingredients, I would pass this by and try another brand for your hair.

Personal comments

Although I think this is an excellent hair conditioner for men, women and teenagers, I will probably leave the rest of this for my lady. Maybe it's me, but I have a hard time getting past all the pink packaging and the flowery (but very nice) scent. I think Principessa (or any company) would do well to manufacture a line marketed towards men. EF recently started carrying more men's sexy undergarments, so maybe this is another area to explore.
Follow-up commentary
Still one of the best smelling and most effective hair conditioners we have used to date. I only use about one or two tablespoons four or five times a week so the bottle (although smallish at twelve ounces) will last me at least two months. I love this entire line of products. They are attractively packaged and would make great Mother's Day gift. Principessa's product seem to always lift my spirits (and using them with a glass of wine and a nice warm bath...bubbles optional).
