Works so well we had to get another bottle on stand-by

My wife loves this stuff. She said it is one of her favorite product we have purchased from Eden to date. I have decided to always keep a spare bottle ready for her in case the scrub in ever sold out.

Use

The purpose of the Walnut Sugar Scrub is just what you would expect of an exfoliate. The use of this scrub will polish your skin smooth and smelling minty clean. My wife prefers to use this product on her legs and feet before shaving as well as for exfoliating her face. The peppermint leaves you skin feeling cool and crisp after use.
The scrub is meant to be used within the shower, but it could be used at the sink if you wished to was your face at the end of the day. Walnut Sugar Scrub can be used by males or females as the scent can not be described as girly in any way.
If you are allergic to tree nuts I would suggest to stay away from this scrub. It does contain walnut shells and therefore could cause a reaction.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The texture of the Walnut Sugar Scrub is best described as thick and gritty. For many things this would be a turn off, but for an exfoiliant it is just right. When I I say thick I mean almost gelatinous it is so thick. This does pose a small problem when it comes to getting the scrub out of the bottle.
The walnut shells make for a very course exfoliant. This is perfect to use on your feet to remove any forming calluses.

Taste / Aroma

This scrub has a very strong peppermint scent to it. It is supposed to be peppermint, almond, and coconut, but the peppermint is so strong that it is hard to pick up on the others. When I am smelling the product straight from the bottle I can just barely pick up on the almond and not at all on the coconut. When I am smelling it on my wife it starts as a purely peppermint scent and as the peppermint fades the coconut replaces it as the predominate scent.

As far as taste goes I have no and anyone who does know has been using it all wrong.

Performance

My first bottle has lasted me several months. I use it with a real sea sponge to ensure total exfoliation and this helps me use it sparingly but also gives me great coverage. I love the way it leaves my skin feeling. Initially it has a cooling effect which is very soothing to the skin. It makes me feel totally rejuvenated and fresh for my day or night. It rinses well with no residue on the skin. Several soaps out there say moisturizing but when you rinse your hand seems to stick to your skin. This isn't the case with Walnut sugar scrub. My skin was immediately soft and supple after my first use and with extended use it just got better.

I even love it on my face. Nothing like the peppermint cooling on my pores and it really helped with those pesky blackheads that can be so hard to get rid of. It didn't dry my face out either like some facial cleans can do. I do only indulge in this once or twice a week because I found more than that can be too much.

Packaging

The walnut scrub comes in a simple, but fairly classy bottle. The label is pink, white, and black with some elegant scrolling and fancy borders. It has a simple to use squeeze dispenser cap and the plastic bottle is sturdy and solid. The back of the label has a complete ingredient list and a general description of the product.
Unfortunately the bottle itself is so sturdy that it is fairly difficult to squeeze the fluid out. I would have suggested a less cylindrical bottle made with a plastic of a slightly lower thickness.
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Travel friendly
    • Would make a nice gift

Experience

The Walnut sugar scrub is the first step in a daily skin regiment I have found myself indulging in for several months now. After I scrub myself with this product, again using my sea sponge, I like to spritz on Milk made hydrating moisture milk – body moisturizer. Especially for my legs. I used to have dry cracked skin on my legs and these two products have really changed that for me. If your looking for something more soothing after the scrub try Whipped body creme – lotion, created by Bella Il Fiore, another of my favorites.

When I use it on my face I love to follow up with Hemp Facial cream from Sensuous Beauty.
