A towel is a towel is a towel!!!! True, but this towel is softer than some. It is 100% cotton with a nice loop. The surface of the towel has a delicate sheen to it, but after several washings that will slowly disappear. It is not the thickest or most absorbent towel that I have used, but it is one of the softest.

The towel arrives simply wrapped in clear plastic with the logo, “Close2You" in a rich, dark purple appearing through the plastic. It comes neatly folded. Made of 100% cotton, this machine washable/dryable towel is 100% cotton with dimensions of 52" X 29.5". It was comfortably large to wrap around me (size 12/14, 36D).

After showering, I used the towel to dry my hair (long and pretty thick) as well as my body (short and pretty thick also!). It adequately absorbed the moisture from my hair, but it was pretty wet and I had to use a dry towel to finish the job. I did like that I was able to wrap the towel around myself without it falling down and giving both me and my guy a surprise!!!

After drying over the shower pole, I tossed the dry towel in the hamper to wait its turn in the wash. When the day came, I washed it with non-bleach items. I used liquid laundry detergent and non-chlorine, made for colors, bleach additive. When the wash cycle was complete, I put it in the dryer on high and set the timer for 45 minutes (my usual towel time). It was completely dry and non-wrinkled when I pulled it out. I folded it and put it in the linen closet.

After 3 washes and dry cycles, there still seems to be a high amount of lint shedding off into the dryer. I hope this will slow down or I expect some thinning to happen in spots. I'll keep my eyes on this and report back in my follow up review. Once folded and placed on the towel shelf, it appeared less thick than most of my other towels. I did notice that the "Close2You" towel had a thinner feel than my other towels, which would account for the smaller looking size. The dimensions are close to the other towels in my closet.

I'm not sure how to describe a "towel experience" except to say that the cotton fabric is very soft and only moderately absorbent. I would expect a towel to absorb the moisture on my skin and hair after a shower however, this towel needed a bit of help in the form of an additional towel.

The towel has gotten softer with use and washing,even though I never use fabric softener on linens. It still isn't very absorbent, but I do love the way it feels when I wrap myself up in it. Plus, I really like the sentiment of "close 2 you". It is a pretty good price also for such a large bath towel.
