A Happy Moment

For any woman who has ever had a bad reaction to a lube, this one promises to cause you no harm. While the taste is horrid and it could be too thin for anal endeavours, ID Moments is still a fantastic lube to have in your nightstand. Great for vaginal sex and use with toys, this hypoallergenic water-based formula can satiate so many of your needs.

Use

The ID Moments lubricant is a water-based, body-safe lube from the Moments line by ID Lubricants. This American based company prides themselves on quality ingredients and their own unique hypoallergenic formulas.

This particular lube is a great choice for vaginal use. Whether it's for sex with a partner or for use with toys, this is a highly versatile lubricant. Being water based, it can be used with any toy materials without the worry of damaging them.

Women who suffer from vaginal dryness may even benefit from using this as a daily moisturizer.

It may be thick enough to function well as an anal lubricant but a larger amount might be required to get a comfortable glide. Reapplication may also be necessary.

The pink packaging can be a bit on the feminine side but this lube can also be a nice choice for men. For hand jobs and any external use, the lube will dry out much faster. Exposure to the air will make it more prone to evaporation. Combat this by either reapplying or it can easily be reintegrated with a flew drops of water or saliva.

Though this lube is marketed as being an ultimately body-friendly product, some of the ingredients could be cause for concern for some. For your personal interest, here are the ingredients as they appear on the bottle:
Water, Butylene glycol, Carboxymethylcellulose, Ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/vp copolymer, PEG-45M, Citric acid, Sodium benzoate.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The lube is clear and can be seen through the bottle. The appearance in the bottle is deceiving. It would appear to be very thin and watery but the lube has a jelly-like consistency. It is much thicker than expected and holds together very well. This helps keep it in place more easily once it is applied to some area or toy.

The texture is smooth and silky. As it is rubbed into the skin it breaks down into an oily texture. It lasts a long time and does not absorb into the skin very quickly. I have not observed it becoming tacky or sticky. Rather, it feels somewhat greasy in a good way.

It is certainly not the thickest water based lube I've encountered and some may still believe this one to be too watery.

Taste / Aroma

As far as smell goes, there is a kind of Elmer's white glue scent present but it is not overwhelming. Being prone to migraines, I am quite sensitive to smells and this lube has never bothered me. In fact, I ended up getting it on my nose trying to get close enough to sniff it - my partner later did the same.

The smell is more detectable one the lube is spread over the skin to cover a larger surface area. I find the scent to be a bit rubbery and kind of reminiscent of a dental office.

Although ID Moments is not marketed as an edible product, the manufacturer upholds their quality, non-toxic ingredients and claim there is no harm if their products are ingested. While there may be no harm is licking this product, it tastes pretty bad. It is very bitter and acidic. I would recommend wiping this off before performing oral.

Performance

I have been very sensitive to lubricants in the past and am always striving to find better, more natural formulas. This lube has not caused any adverse effects or nasty reactions.

For some time now, this has been my go-to for playtime with my toys and also for vaginal sex. It is not too thick and I rarely have to reapply as it is just enough to get my natural lubrication flowing. It provides a perfect silkiness to make everything that much more comfortable on days where I might be a bit dyer than usual. As well as being compatible with all toys, it is also latex compatible so it is safe to use with condoms.

For hand jobs, reapplication is often necessary. Rather than fuss with grabbing the bottle and pumping more product onto my partner, I prefer to simply reactivate with my saliva. It is much quicker and gets the job done.

We have not yet used this for anal activities. Our Sliquid Sassy has answered our anal needs and we have not bothered to test this one out. Given the texture and consistency of this lube, I do believe it would need to be reapplied and may not be thick enough either. The fact that it does cling to the skin and is so smooth leads me to think that it wouldn't be a completely awful choice as an anal lube.

Lube often builds up in the pump. If it has not been used for a while, a solidified chunk can come out when you pump out the lube. This is not a huge problem but can alter the texture a bit if the chunk is not removed. In use this is barely noticeable anyway.

As with most water-based lubes, cleanup is easy. The product can be washed off with just water. Soap can be used as well but is not necessary to remove the lube itself. The lube also does not leave greasy stains on linens.
    • Feels natural
    • Long lasting

Packaging

The lube is sold in three sizes: 2oz, 4oz and 6.4oz. All three are packaged in varying sizes of the same bottle.

The bottle is clear with a white pump top. There is a symbol on the pump that indicates which direction to twist the top in order to use it. A quick twist to left locks the pump and a short twist to the right opens it and allows for use of the pump. It has never leaked, especially when in the lock position. This makes a great lube to pack for your travels.

There is a plastic shrink wrap covering the entire bottle. The plastic can be removed from around just the pump (safety seal) and can be left on the rest of the bottle. This plastic wrap could also be completely removed and discarded to reveal a plain, clear bottle for ultimate discretion.

The front the bottle is simply decorated with some grey swirly patterns surrounding the ID Moments logo. It does say that it is a hypoallergenic sensual lubricant directly on the front of the bottle.

The back of the bottle lists some features of the product, how to use it and a few cautions. The ingredients list then appears and below that is the company contact information.

All writing on the bottle is printed in pink and the the clear portion of the plastic over the bottle even has an ombre effect leading to an ever so slightly pink color. The label is definitely very feminine. This makes sense with a product geared towards sensitive women though.
    • Does not leak
    • Easy to use / dispense

Experience

I was content with my Pink Water. That was until it was discontinued here on Eden. I decided that as much as I did enjoy the Pink Water, there was no harm in searching for an even better lube. I have found this in the ID Moments. This lube has taken the place of my paraben containing Pink Water.

I am always happy when my vagina is happy. The lube feels great, the pump top is easy to use, the ingredients list if free of glycerin and parabens and the formula is very workable. Not only do I stand behind this lube and recommend it to all my friends, but I have given this to a friend as a gift who reported that she enjoyed the lube as well.
