I'D Be Happy with This

The ID Moments is a great option if you need an affordable every day lubricant. It is a good alternative to more expensive Sliquid products. It is hypoallergenic, which allows it to be used by many sensitive folks.

Use

ID Moments is a water-based lubricant. Being water-based, it is safe to use on silicone and silicone-composite toys. It's ingredients are fairly solid. The primary ingredients are plant based. It does not contain glycerine. I know there was an article that circulated not too long ago saying glycerol wasn't a sugar. Technically, it is a sugar alcohol. Sugar alcohols break down into... alcohol and sugar. So it is still not a great option for ladies who are on the sensitive side. If you still wish to be careful, you could see if the lubricant reacts with normal skin. You can put a small amount on an innocuous part of your body like the forearm or top of the hand. Watch the skin for 24-48 hours.

For lubricants, this test is not a fail-safe. This is because the vagina is full of surface membranes. Mucous membranes are more sensitive to other skin. This test will just prevent you from some reactions. If unsure, try a very small part on the entrance to the vagina (better compared to using it for sex or insertion first). Watch for any adverse reactions. The majority of users should be okay with this product, but everyone is different.

This lubricant can be used for using toys, before both vaginal and anal sex, or for inserting a kegel toy. There are better lubricants for anal play, primarily thicker and longer lasting ones, but you could use this in a pinch if you use a lot of it.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The ID Moments is not thin like water but it is thinner than your standard shampoo. If you pump some into your hand and twist your palm the lubricant will go with gravity. You do have some time to adjust and keep the liquid form sliding off if you flub though. If you rub some between your fingers you will feel the slickness. It does allow for some easy slipping and sliding. After a while the lubricant can get a bit tacky feeling. It feels sticky for 5 or so minutes while it dries. It feels the least pleasant before it is completely dry. After it is dry you can't feel the tackiness, but if you start to sweat or get wet you'll remember you used this lubricant.

The lubricant is easy to dispense from the bottle. You can easily push it down with a couple of fingers, let alone one hand. The lubricant is clear and water-like in transparency. It is homogenous and doesn't have any noticeable particles in it.

Taste / Aroma

There is not very much to report here. The scent of the lubricant is barely noticeable; you have to put your nose up to it to detect anything. The reminds me of some generic cleaners you find at the public places (not bad, but a slight soap/chemical smell. It's an interesting scent, but very light and inoffensive). The lubricant is not designed for consumption.

Performance

This lubricant is probably best suited for light every day use. This can be an affordable lubricant for ladies who use kegel exercisers daily and need a small drop of moisture for an easy insertion (too much can make the exerciser fall out, though). It can also be used to help with tampon insertion. For masturbation it does a decent/satisfactory job. If using for vaginal intercourse, you may have to reapply if you applied a small amount or are having a longer session. The good news is that the lubricant seems to revive fine. Sometimes adding more lubricant to drying lubricant can make a sticky disaster; this does not.

I would recommend a thicker lubricant for anal play, especially if your toy is somewhat porous. Some sex toys can absorb a bit of lubricant, so you'll need to add more. If using this for anal sex note that there is not such thing as too much lube! While it is not very messy for vaginal penetration, I could imagine the wet mess this lubricant could cause during anal play.

Clean up isn't bad. A wet wipe will take care of the most of it.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Gets sticky

Packaging

The ID Moments is a bit unique in its packaging. It has a push down nozzle like some hair mousse does. It works when upright is easy to operate. I wouldn't let this be stored on its side though given the nozzle. The lubricant does come wrapped in plastic to prevent it from possibly spilling in your shipment box

There are better lubricants if you are traveling.
