Platinum silicone lubricant - lubricant discontinued by Wet Lubricants - review by cmm

Due to it's name, I had originally purchased Wet Platinum under the assumption that it was a water based lubricant. I do not typically use silicone based products, however, was willing to give the Wet name a try. Because it is silicone based it should not be used with silicone toys, but for me this lube really stood out during pure sex. It lasts an incredibly long time and only a small amount is needed to keep friction at a minimum. Water also will not act as a solvent against it, so feel free to bring it into the shower for steamy wet fun! Be extremely careful that it doesn't get on that nice duvet you just bought because it is not coming out!

At first thought, this lubricant reminds me of a consistency similar to that of a light olive oil. It seems to last a lot longer than water based products without getting sticky, however, doesn't have as much of a slickness to it. After a while, it can begin to feel slightly greasy and can be tough to wash off unless you use soap. The cylindrical container has a small recession to the left of the label for easy gripping and a small oval shaped spout under that cap that makes pouring quite easy. While it probably won't spill everywhere, some of the lube will inevitably end up on the cap and top portion of the bottle.

One of this products strengths is highlighted in the fact that it is both utterly tasteless and odorless. With that being said, you will not be displeased if you decide to perform oral once this lubricant has been applied.

One of the things I dislike about the product is feeling like I need to shower and scrub to remove it from my body. It clings to your skin and will repel water, so it takes a mild soap to dissolve it. Now that I'm aware of this, I think it would make an excellent shower lube. Just a few drops of this lube will take you a long way so your bottle just might last forever. I am wary about using it in bed because it will stain fabric, so it might just stay in the bathroom for shower fun.

The bottle comes in a small black paper box and has directions, warnings, and an ingredients list in english, spanish, and french. The 3.1 oz black bottle is about 5 1/2" tall with a 1 1/2" diameter.
