Smart Lube in A Smart Tube

Toy Lube from Evolved is yet another great product to add to your arsenal. It works for solo play or sex and has the feel of a silicone lube while having the properties of a water based one. A nifty pump dispenser makes it easy to use when things are getting hot and heavy, and clean up is a sinch.

Use

This 'Smart Lube' by Evolved is a nice, thick water based lubricant specifically designed for use with toys. Its slippery, slick texture makes playing nice and wet, and is helpful for those using masturbators or who problems staying lubricated.

This isn't the best for sex or solo use in the shower since it rinses off quick, but it is thick enough that it will last for a little while.

It is good to use for hand jobs or vulva massages as well since it absorbs nice and slow into the skin.

This stuff is simple and has only 5 ingredients:

Glycerin, Purified Water, Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose, Propyl Paraben, Methyl Paraben.

Glycerin is quite a viscuous liquid and has a nice solubility in water, which means it dissolves well and blends with the water to create a smooth texture. Glycerin does have a low level of toxicity but Evolved's bottle states that Smart Lube is made with vegetable glycerin which seems to be safer and more organic than traditional glycerols that have been used in lube manufacturing.

The cellulose helps to add the thick texture to the lube and is also has high viscosity. It also non-toxic and hypoallergenic, making it safer for the more sensitive bodies.

Proply Paraben and methyl paraben seem to act as perservatives.

The methyl paraben also acts as a fungicide which could help prevent bacteria transfer during use, but it is stated as highly toxic.

Many people don't care for parabens and I'm assuming this is because their toxicity can cause issues with sensitive parts but it seems that they are used to prolong the life of the lube.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This is water based but it has the silky feel of a silicone based lube. It does come out very quick so a lot isn't needed to get started.

If not washed off this can get somewhat sticky on the skin, but it absorbs nicely into your intimate parts so there isn't a lot to worry about there.

There's even a nifty little pump for dispensing just the right amount.

Taste / Aroma

There really isn't a smell to Toy Lube but it does have a sweet taste to it. It wouldn't be too bad for oral.

Performance

Toy Lube went on quick and lasted for the duration of our session (about 20 minutes) with some to spare. I don't need much e application but it did give me a nice jump start.

As far as use with toys this lasts quite some time. The duration of this is going to dependin on what kind of toy you are using, how long/hard you use it for and where you are.

Silicone toys have quite a bit of drag and seem to need a little bit more after a while, but plastic, TPR and other toys should be good to go for a while.

As far as masturbators go, as long as you don't have something that will absorb the lube quick then you will not have to worry about stopping to re lube.

I don't see issues with use on condoms either since they tend to have the same properties as silicone goes as far as absorbtion and drag.

Packaging

This came nice and tightly sealed to prevent any spilling or leaking in transit.
