Edible body butter discontinued
by Kama Sutra

Souffle? I was thinking sorbet.

What better way to make kisses sweeter than to add a little sweetness to them? This body souffle wonderfully mixes a nice light massage lotion with some tasty flavor and scent. There's also no sticky, greasy, icky residue left behind. Best of all worlds? Yes. It does also have a slight cooling and tingle sensation to it which isn't too great on your tongue, but adds a nice little touch to sensitive areas. Overall, it's some pretty neat stuff.

Use

It's not every day you find something that smells wonderful, actually tastes somewhat decent, and doesn't leave behind a mess of sticky greasy residue. Meet Kama Sutra's Petite Body Souffle. As with most of the Kama Sutra products I've tried, this one lives up to everything it claims to!

This edible body cream has a good number of uses. While it does work as a massage cream, I wouldn't use it if you're trying to pull of an actual massage. For something to warm you up and get you ready to go during foreplay, though, this stuff is excellent. Spread a little on and it leaves behind a wonderfully smooth feeling and delicious taste for kissing, licking, and nibbling. It also leaves behind a slight cooling sensation that works moderately well on nipples and may be felt on other areas (but this stuff isn't really meant to go down there for the ladies.) You can smooth it on before you get down to business for a nice little surprise, too!

Ingredients: Water, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Flavor, Polyacrylamide, C13/14 Isoparrafin, Laureth/7, PEG/100 Stearate, Carbomer, Sodium Saccharin, Sodium Hydroxide, Potassium Sorbate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Yellow 6 (CI 15985)

Surprisingly, there's a whole bunch of chemicals in here, but they aren't what you taste. Kama Sutra maintains that all of their products are hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested, so there would only be a low incidence for any type of allergic reaction with this stuff.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The cream is very much like a whipped body butter. It's a bit "fluffier" than a lotion would be. It dispenses easily out of the jar and doesn't get messy. When applied it leaves a light slickness to the skin without making it greasy, oily, or sticky. This isn't going to be the longest lasting massage lotion you've ever used because it does absorb into the skin and leaves it feeling smooth and soft while still slightly flavored. It only takes about a dab or two to cover a generous area so even though this is a tiny jar it should still last through quite a few sessions.

Afterwards, it's nothing that will leave behind any icky feeling and is nothing you'll have to wash off. Sure, if you don't want to taste like strawberries all day you might want to give it a wipe with a damp cloth, but that's the most you'll have to do.

Taste / Aroma

I'm always a little skeptical when it comes to how well "flavored" and "edible" things of this nature actually taste. That, and they're not generally something I feel the need to consume most of the time. When opening the jar there was a slight scent of strawberries, but it was nothing that was overly strong or artificial smelling. It leaves the slightest amount of scent on the skin, as well.

The taste is what I was most impressed with. Knowing it was strawberry I thought it was dead on for then. Again, not like some sugary sweet candy, but a real strawberry flavor. It's incredibly close to strawberry Smarties. When tasted in a "blind taste test", I was told that it tasted like "real strawberries and cream". It also has the exact same flavor as the Honey Dust, so you can do a double up with the two without it being too much.

Performance

So, we went over how silky it feels and how the taste and smell are awesome already. There was one thing I wasn't expecting at all with this stuff, though. It wasn't anything I even realized this stuff did. So, there I was testing it out for the first time. I applied a generous amount to some skin and licked it off. "This tastes really awesome!" and then a few seconds later "But it's making my mouth feel all cold and weird . . ." Yeah, you know that cooling gum you can buy that gives you that strange cooling/numbing sensation? That's what this does and it does it a lot. It lasts for more than a few minutes, as well. While this might feel good on sensitive areas (not lady parts), it's not something that's fun to have in your mouth. While this stuff is "edible", you shouldn't "eat" it. Maybe 'edible' just means it won't taste bad if you get it in your mouth?

You get a pretty small jar here (as it is the 'petite' body souffle). It's only about 1.8 oz, but a dollop is all you'll really need each time. Again, it's not meant to be "consumed" so just pretend it doesn't have flavor and go from there.

Personal comments

So far, all but two of the products I've gotten from Kama Sutra have been a hit (the misses being the Pleasure Balm and Oil of Love). I really enjoy the flavored treats they have because they do a wonderful job of being tasty and performing well. Anything scented smells absolutely wonderful. The massage oils are amazing. Not to mention, the packaging makes these items a wonderful gift for anyone you get all sexy with, or anyone you know who gets sexy with someone else.
