Wet Gellee - lubricant discontinued by Wet Lubricants - review by wwwww

I decided to give this lube a try after having a pretty decent experience with some other Wet products and after using it for several months I can honestly say that this is, without a doubt, one of the worst lubricants I've ever purchased. I should have known better simply by looking at the packaging because it's cheaply made, somewhat tacky, and has a shape that really screams 'toothpaste' to me. But in spite of this I decided to give it a try. The only really redeeming thing I can say about this product is that the bottle it comes in, as garish as it looks, is pretty tightly sealed. There were no issues with leaking when I bought this product, even after traveling with it and having it bounce around inside backpacks and other portable bags. It has a really light strawberry scent that doesn't overpower and it tastes mildly sweet. The only thing that confused me is that the packaging claims it's supposed to be kiwi-strawberry but I could only ever taste strawberry in this product. Regardless this is were the good parts of this product ended.

The texture is absolutely awful. Have you ever left jello out only to have it dry up a little and get that really thick, chunky texture? Well that's how this lube feels! It's chunky, you have to mush it around between your fingers to get it to actually lubricate anything, and no matter how much of it I used it always seemed to dry out within five minutes of use. The worst part of this lube for me personally was the nasty sticky sensation however. It contains glycerin, making it very susceptible to leaving behind a gooey texture shortly after use. It was easy to wash off with a bit of soap and water but it happens so quickly after use that it can easily end up being a massive mood killer. The reason why I bought this lube is because it was extremely cheap in comparison to other lubricants on the market but I can see now that this was a warning sigh; you get what you pay for.

My advice is to simply skip this product and try something else from the Wet brand. Unless you truly want to try a thicker lube this simply isn't worth the money. There are much better lubes on the market for roughly the same price as this one.
